It was a good game, though I preferred a different outcome. I made an excellent guacamole as a nod to ritual consumption. I made an excellent fresh salsa. The next time the 49ers and the Chiefs (Vikings would be even better) play in the Super Bowl, we'll have to have a party.

I read an interesting article on the BBC about UV induced fluorescence of animals plants and fungi. Apparently you can take a good black light that filters out the Violet and blue end so that it just shows UV light and if you have a decent one shining on some of these things you may glow interesting color is like a black light poster. I was so enthused about this I ordered one so I'm going to try to do photography with UV fluorescence now in addition to the visible spectrum I use when I gone hikes. I'm very excited to see the first results when things arrive especially as we get out of the winter. www.bbc.com/news/uk-wales-68301119

After the worst concert ticket purchasing experience ever in 20 something years ago in to show as I've had I finally got tickets for the farewell tour for Jeff lynne's ELO tour. First time I had tickets they canceled the tour and that was I think around 2000 or 2001. Not quite the tickets I wanted because Ticketmaster kept crashing not just for me apparently everyone has experience and it was maddenng and nerve-racking. There's some exclusive knick knacks I'm missing out on because of that and I'm more annoyed than probably most people would be as I really love collecting that. Hopefully someone will put one up on eBay. A poster exclusive to Boston that says Boston and the date it something like it. I love collecting that stuff from shows. But I am going to see the show which is the most important from nice seats finally after waiting almost 25 years. Ticketmaster really needs to get it s*** together though it was the biggest cluster f*** of website errors not just for Boston but from apparently all the shows on sale. Still feel like I'm shaking from anxiety.

So I've been a little quiet because I was anxious traveling for the total eclipse and hoping to photograph it successfully.
Just seeing it is not easy weather can interfere I would have been in a real foul mood I must admit if that happened. Photographing even harder.
I did it during the last one in Atlanta.
Initial results make me happy that it seems like I have good photos from the second and probably for me the last total solar eclipse since I don't plan to travel to Alaska or Russia or parts Canada or elsewhere in the next in 21 or 22 years is far away from me still. So I did what I could to make this one count.
Went with my dad and my partner and I'm glad we all got to see it.
It was really amazeballs. That's right I said it. =P.
It was seriously pretty one of the more if not most beautiful natural phenomena I've seen.
Some differences between the first and last when I saw. This time we had some Haze which made the corona less obvious which is a bit of a bummer but you still saw the beautiful silvery white Halo and a little bit out beyond that around the Moon which was sort of a combination of black as well as maybe a bit of spillover of that silvery white color. Then around and in between there were parts of the chromosphere and prominences they looked like magenta pink. I got them on film last time but this is the first time I ever actually saw it with the naked eye that was crazy cool. It definitely got progressively colder and darker as the sun became more and more eclipsed until a maximum at totality. I didn't have a thermometer I read some people said five to eight degrees around the country I think at least that if not more it felt pretty damn cold.
I want to try and learn how to combine the images into an HDR image which was the goal this time by varying the exposure and bracketing to capture different features in the light Dynamics. I didn't know anything about that last time. Very glad it worked I had so much anxiety with this both with it occurring and handling fancy rental equipment for the camera stuff. Back now the ride home totally sucked twice as long as the ride there I don't do well with long rides so 6 or 7 hours really really sucked for me at least. But it was worth it overall.
Anyone watching on streaming or happen to live somewhere or travel to see it themselves?
