Donavan and miles, I'm glad to read that you both came through the January storms relatively unscathed. As forecasted for my patch of the globe, it warmed up and rained for two days. Fortunately, there's still a bit of snow on the ground.

We haven't had a storm for about a week now. Somethings not right.

It's ambidextrous.

It uses both hands simultaneously to get a clap of thunder.

It's nearly 2:30 am and blowing really hard. And it's not even my birthday.

I haven't rambled for a long time...
For too long I had subscribed to political podcasts. All of them regurgitating the same talking points about how the other side is to blame for everything that is wrong with government. It provided me a bit smug superiority, knowing that my choir is singing the righteous tune, but they all left me feeling a bit depressed. I pulled the plug on all but one (a considered discussion of current political and cultural affairs, both foreign and domestic) a few weeks ago and lo and behold! - my mood has improved. Ya, we're still screwed and the bat-sh*t crazies on the far right are scarier than ever but I will try not to let that knowledge bring me down.
Happy Sunday!

Great Post. Who do you vote for when nobody represents you?

No candidate can fully represent all my beliefs of what a government should be, although Pete Buttigieg and Elizabeth Warren - both Democrats - came pretty darn close last time around (they would have been my dream ticket in 2020). Likewise, no party has all the answers to my hopes and fears. But at least the Democrats try to level the playing field for as many people as possible instead of peeing on my leg and telling me it's raining the trickle down economics and the BIG LIE of small government of the current Republican party.

The election is just a couple of months away, so tell her to get out on the campaign trail.

I think the mayor needs to be ever present. Dad dies too often, Intro was a fail. Mare has been disgraced and I don't want it. And peggs gets lost on her bicycle too much. So blue is the obvious choice. No more vanity projects. Give blue the job. Go early or go home. Make the BP great again.
