I guess I use the longevity of family members to compare my own. My mother died at 59, my father at 85. I expect I'll fall somewhere between. If you trim your beard you'll be less likely to fall.

Michael Gambon, age 83. My favorite role of his was as "The Singing Detective." Really groundbreaking TV production. Oh and he did some Harry Potter thing too I hear.

That's quite upsetting I saw him in a few other things but of course for me he was the second Dumbledore and the one present in most of the series. I did quite like him what a bummer many of the cast members are now gone.

www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-66963341Dianne Feinstein: 'Pioneering' Senator dies aged 90 I was not a constituent and I don't know in depth her history. What I have heard and read over time does suggest that she did some pretty fine work. I did not agree with everything I read attributed to her but I never have been 100% on board with any politician. At least worth recognizing her passing.

I lived in San Francisco and Oakland at the time. I basically agree with Blue, she did good things. One of the the stances she took that pissed people off locally was her rigid anti-pot and anti-medical pot position. She and the SF police really demonized Denis Perrone and other advocates trying to provide medicine to people. She was too conservative, too willing to compromise on human rights issues, too pro-military etc imo, but so are most politicians. RIP

RIP Matthew Perry, 8/19/69-10/28/23
"I've had a lot of ups and downs in my life. I'm still working through it personally, but the best thing about me is that if an alcoholic or drug addict comes up to me and says, 'Will you help me?' I will always say, 'Yes, I know how to do that. I will do that for you, even if I can't always do it for myself! So I do that, whenever I can. In groups, or one on one. And I created the Perry House in Malibu, a sober- living facility for men. I also wrote my play The End of Longing, which is a personal message to the world, an exaggerated form of me as a drunk. I had something important to say to people like me, and to people who love people like me.
When I die, I know people will talk about Friends, Friends, Friends. And I'm glad of that, happy l've done some solid work as an actor, as well as given people multiple chances to make fun of my struggles on the world wide web... but when I die, as far as my so-called accomplishments go, it would be nice if Friends were listed far behind the things I did to try to help other people.
I know it won't happen, but it would be nice."

Very sad. Just wish everyone with mental health issues got the same headlines. And no, just like wealth, there are no drip down benefits. Sad but true.

www.washingtonpost.com/obituaries/2023/11/17/don-walsh-deepest-ocean-navy/Don Walsh reached the Challenger Deep via the Trieste in 1960. First people to be there very few have gone since. This is the deepest part of the ocean in the Mariana trench. I've always been fascinated with the deep sea and the life that is there or lack thereof as you get deeper well not completely devoid. 35,797 feet deep. More than Mt. Everest.

Geordie from Killing Joke. He had a massive guitar sound, kind of a bridge between punk and shoegaze (says Kevin Shields of MBV.) I love their first album and the later Pandemonium.

This about sums it up...
"Shane McGowan chasing Henry Kissinger into the afterlife to kick the shit out of him. RIP."
To which someone replied...
"Don't think they're going to the same place to run into each other."
