This might inspire my dad to stop wearing masks. Also, is there an adult kitten? No, Intro, there isn't any such thing as an adult kitten, obvs, durr. But " baby kitten" just adds that little extra something, I feel. Can't help with your Dad though. Another employee suggested snipers in the ceiling for the transgressors..... He's my kinda guy! Snipers with tranquilizer darts! When the rule ignorers hit the ground snoring, the rule following customers can waft all the desirable items to the check out lines. Those failing to comply will awaken to barren aisles and zero paper products.

Mare, I hope your mother continues her recovery and finds full health before long. Thoughs and vibes School here is scheduled to start in late August. I mean, completely. In person. No social distancing, though masks may be encouraged. I hope against hope that it works out well, because it's so hard to get any work done with four kids buzzing around me 16 hours a day. They're also bored stiff and growing more bellicose by the week. Our DG conference called us up in small groups, and that was one of the biggest complaints about working from home. I can only imagine how stressful it must be for those parents with toddlers. Thank you Terra! I am taking it one day at a time...I have realized the whole process of rehabilitation from some of these health events my mom has endured takes much longer than she wants them to do. We are all learning these things together. My sisters are great at things I am a little emotional about, and I am here to jump into the car and check up in person. Now, though, with no visiting rules at the hospital things are not as it has been in the past. <3 School resuming in August doesn't seem far enough away for me. I wear my mask whenever I leave the house. Long ago, I noticed on NHK news clips that many people wore masks. I think anywhere there are large groups in proximity, for instance using mass transit or in street markets, masks should be worn. Now, it all makes sense, to me. I know peer pressure may interfere in the kids + masks coverage, and this too is a worry. Can you establish a Quiet Time period, Terra? (Perhaps even a couple-three Quiet Time periods a day) I told my kids that I needed some Quiet Time each day...that the restriction would be they stay in their rooms for an hour and could read, Lego, even have a rest of their own. It just had to be quiet. I believe now this is called Independent Unstructured Play. I know you will think of something!

My mom is still in the hospital-if she stays there, she may still win the Covid-19 Lottery.
It is tough not to worry all day and night, when things first sound terrible, then all sorted out, then terrible again, then maybe o.k., etc.
Sigh.
At least Tax Season is over, finally!

My dad was nice enough to buy me some hand sanitizer, the same brand we were using at work. I went to work one day last week and saw all of the sanitizer gone. I had heard of recalls, so I asked and learned that indeed our brand had been recalled for fears that it could be toxic. I told my dad this, so he went to the store to see if he could get a refund. He got one after learning that no one in the store had any idea that this stuff had been recalled.
We are so fucked.

The sanitizers withdrawn used methonol, which sounds like something Walter White used when he was cooking.

It's weird how I can't get too worried about living in possibly the hottest of Hot Spots. If Florida were a country it would have the third highest rate of new cases in the world behind Brazil and the rest of the United States.
But I can't be too fussed. Being careful here is basically the same as being careful anywhere else. Don't go out much. If you do, stay safe and away from those that aren't. Not too worried in one of the most careful counties in the state.
My parents like to go out on drives to nowhere. Right now this means not actually getting out of the car much. they said they ended up in some location with nothing for miles around but well paved roads and empty blocks of more paved roads. Apparently a huge housing development/ pre-fab town that never happened. But they said when they did see houses they had Trump signs and when they saw stores no one wore masks.
My dad doesn't have the best bladder capacity anymore. I assume he peed at the side of the road a lot.
