Defying the logic of housebound pandemic avoiders, I have managed to lose about fifteen pounds the in the last year. Who knew forced solitude was good for my health? Answer: me--fuck people. I think this could be like your other answer to everything as an alternative to pink thing, when you want variety. It's surprisingly appropriate in many situations.

I have lost a bunch of weight, mostly by avoiding carbs. By the way, I'm not on a diet. I've just lost my appetite for carb-heavy foods like pasta and potatoes. Now I have multiple people concernedly talking to me as if I have cancer. Given that my mom died of cancer, their concerns are legitimate. I may need to eat more, or actually go to a doctor, which I haven't done in more than two decades.

Good job on the curbing of carbing, Introvertigroo. I know it wasn't intentional, but you listened to your body and stayed away from something that can really lead to health problems. My mom went on and on about carbs to me, telling me if I didn't I would get what she and her mom had/have Diabetes. I was sent to Diabetes seminars by my Internist due to my family history, test results and being a tubby bitch. There, I learned the reasons behind carbs being the source and understood much better how carbs drive ill health. That all started when I went in to see my Internist after not seeing a doctor for a couple decades. Having a physical or at least a convo about your family history with a doctor will get you on a path which will look for early warning signs of major illness.

When you have been eating mostly healthy for a while, a lot of the advertised, overly rich, supposedly irresistible foods, are kind of revolting. I eat much less pasta than I did a few years ago, but I still love good bread. Dark Rye, sourdough, and whole grain preferred. I have not lost weight

Jeez. I used to think I was fat. I wasn't fat then. Now I know from fat.
The period from Thanksgiving through New Year's Day has been extremely lenient regarding dairy and wheat. No ice cream, but plenty of whipped cream chez and green olive sandwiches (cut in triangles, crusts off but eaten anyway) on Orowheat Oat Nut Bread. I never made it to cucumber cream chez and Oat Nut Bread sandwiches...I was stuck on the green olive ones.
So back to being more health conscious in dining choices. *!?#$%!

Find any good healthy recipes? I like this carrot based curry one I started having. I put lean pork in it too but it can be with or without meat. The carrots are good as firm bits in the carrot based curry sauce.

Find any good healthy recipes? I like this carrot based curry one I started having. I put lean pork in it too but it can be with or without meat. The carrots are good as firm bits in the carrot based curry sauce. Simple and healthy stuff-not as intricate and fancy as your recipes Bluey. Slice up a zucchini and microwave it some dried oregano and salt free Mrs. Dash. Microwave tiny Soy Meatballs from Trader Joe's and then warm with a couple tablespoons of T.J.'s Fat Free Pizza Sauce. Mix it all together and scarf because I am starving and this will be filling and have protein. Shredded Almond Cheese melted on top. There isn't even any cooking involved, really. Some times I wing it with mushrooms, sweet onion, Better Than Bullion (Veg) and throw in some red lentil pasta with the asparagus stems and when the time is right, add the zucchini and asparagus tips on top. Other than that, I mostly go with my old tried and true recipes but they are dangerous because I love them and I will have extra servings.
