Only about a month away from Straight Edge November. That is where I will take a straight razor to my throat if someone takes my booze away.

I have limited myself to booze on weekends only lately--that is sort of like Straight Edge November.

I was sleeping pretty well for awhile, but the last week or so has been rough--a couple of nights with almost no sleep.

I had 10 hours sleep last night. That must be catching up on the 2 or 3 hours a night for the last couple of weeks.

I only had about five hours last night--couldn't fall asleep initially, then kept waking up every half hour or so. I may need to go back to sleeping pills for awhile.

Sleeping pills do sort of work. But I find they zombify me in the daylight hours.

I sleep so much better with a CPAP mask on my head...the machine drowns out noise a bit, and the water vapor keeps my throat and mouth from drying out.
Exercise (walking) and babysittering my grandson poop me out so much that I crash pretty quickly. I got to laugh a lot when I was doing that. Having that in my life is a major comfort. FaceTime is great, but I can't wait to be able to go see them, again! They are five minutes away for cripes' sake!

I take my antidepressant and sleeping pill a couple of hours before bedtime. I averaged three hours' sleep a night for several months before I finally gave up and got a prescription from my doctor. Sometimes the best solution is chemical.

I had a good night's sleep last night; otherwise, I have not slept well this week. Partly this is the result of the neighbors who keep shooting off fireworks and making a terrific racket until two in the morning.

I had a good night's sleep last night; otherwise, I have not slept well this week. Partly this is the result of the neighbors who keep shooting off fireworks and making a terrific racket until two in the morning. Jimminy Chrimbo-there was so much racket last night! Ours went to almost 2:00 am !!! I started thinking things like...these racketeers are annoying. They follow noise like Mousketeers follow The Mouse. I also yelled "Shut up bleepholes," Several times. Then, I turned the TV up loud enough to hear it, and I found out a little about George Washington that I didn't know. He didn't want to be President! Poor guy. He did take quick action during the Revolution to have a rebellious officer shot for treason by a firing squad of those who supported a mutiny. At least in this version of history. I think we need to hear from the mutineers, though, History Channel. When I found there was another hour of that program, I decided to tell off the turn-o-vision. (My dad's saying.)
I am learning, also, that there are lots of people who think they know what to do with my mind. No wonder people go up mountains and live in caves or shotgun shacks...it's the only way you can hear yourself think.
