Really liking it. Wine pretzels taste better without the aniseed to me.

Almost finished with The Complete Eightball by Daniel Clowes. Original appearance of Ghost World and numerous other stories. Cynical, sweet and beautifully drawn.

I remember that idiot missionary self appointed himself to go there and was killed , being reported in the news. Since they violently defend themselves to be uncontacted I'm curious as a reading the book where they're actually people they allowed to speak to an interview how much information and what kind is available on them? Sounds interesting.

Why Uncontacted Tribes Want to Stay Uncontacted -- The life and afterlife of a monstrous Victorian adventurer.

Read The High Window by Raymond Chandler. I wouldn't say he's a great writer, but entertaining and I'm fascinated by Los Angeles Noir after reading Ellroy's quartet. I'm going to read some more of his novels.

I'm going to read some more of his novels. The Long Goodbye was Chandler's best novel, but also rather different than his other books. I think The High Window was one of his weaker efforts, so I imagine you will like his other novels more.

I ordered an omnibus of his later novels to dig into. I think The Long Goodbye is one of them.

I've struggled with reading over the past years. Due to a back injury sitting for long periods of time was not comfortable (45 minutes was pushing it). Now that I'm as healed as I'm ever likely to be, and can sit for a spell, my attention span needs attention! I've almost managed to finish The Cellist by Daniel Silva, the long continued storyline of Gabriel Allon (24 books and counting!), art restorer and Mosad agent. I started the book over a year ago and have so many other books in my bookcase waiting to be finished. They glare at me with disapproval when I'm dusting and make me feel bad (rightly so).

I was very slow to finish as I don't sit down to read as often as I should the book I've been working on. I finished the book about the Mark Twain House. I started today the Elton John autobiography. I'm occasionally reading a passage here and there of Dracula having loved the movie I thought I should read it finally.

Some great cameos from SF writers and pop culture figures, along with Dick himself. I've read virtually all his novels and his complete short stories. In the time since this was made, he has attained considerably more recognition, and his heirs enormous royalties for books and film adaptations. He had a glimpse of this right before he died, seeing early rushes of Blade Warrior.

I don't know anything about Philip K Dick or what he looks like. Are there any Dick pics in that book?
