It's a dictate from Sheriff Jon Hamm (Yes I watched Fargo last night)
I wonder if there is some FDA regulation that requires salt for preservation or something.
Was there ever a TV show that you just had to watch every week it was on? If so what?

just too many to pick one
For starters
Heal any and all of all maladies probably first choice
Talk to animals and have them understand and communicate back
Fart silently undetectably with gusto
What would your super hero or villain name be?

Mr. Confused.Com
My wife is pregnant. My wife is 5 feet tall. Me, 6 foot 5.
People ask, how tall do you think your child will grow to? A reasonable question and a cordial discussion follows.
I have bright red hair. My wife has dark brown hair. People ask, what colour hair do you think your child will have? A reasonable question and a cordial discussion follows.
My wife is black and I am white. People ask what colour skin do you think your child may have? A reasonable question but you are now a racist and immediately cancelled.
I'm sick of this nonsense, are you?

Is this about the royals? Because I'm not up on that stuff at all.
However, the contention that questions about an unborn mixed-race child's skin color are always simply innocuous speculation is either disingenuous or charmingly naive. There has never been any formal, systematic oppression of people based on their height or their hair color, has there? People have never been made to sit in the back of the bus because they were brunette instead of strawberry blonde, right? There was never a slave market dealing exclusively in the sale of people under 5'5", was there?
Not many people would likely be seriously prejudiced against a person for having lighter or darker hair or for being a little bit shorter or taller. Unfortunately, many, many people are prejudiced against people with darker skin. Some to a fanatical, hateful degree - now that's the nonsense I'm sick of right there!
Do some people get too strident about that? Sure. Everybody gets especially worked up over something. I think people get upset about what has hurt them the most or what has hurt others they care about. Some people feel empathy, some people get tired of hearing about it.
People often have strong reactions to racism, or to what they perceive as racism, because of the real evil it has caused throughout history and continues to cause in the world. You can be sick of that, or not agree with it, but I don't think it is fair to dismiss it as silly nonsense.

If you found out you had a terminal illness, would you tell everyone, a select few, or no one at all?

To talk about the colour of skin means you see past what you mention. It means you identify it the same as the colour of eyes. Completely innocent. I'm past looking for the bad in everything. People always looking for the racist slant puts us back years. The years you mention.
Also amongst people of colour it is very common to speculate about the skin tone of an unborn child.
Perhaps whilst still being aware of the progress that is still required we should be a little less eager to take offence on behalf of others. Because it really isn't helping.
Terminal illness: I'd tell those who need to know.
Have you completed your Christmas shopping?

Is the weather where you live 'average' for this time of year?

Oh no. I mean it's always raining in Manchester. But the wind is off the scale. Lost 4 garden fence panels.
Is that why in The States people don't bother with garden fences?

Good question. I'm not used to seeing farm style fences but I am used to seeing tall wood fences you can't see through for privacy. Although not in all houses. Where I'm living now doesn't have it all around, but where I grew up did.
I'd like to know more about those colors apatite is a very beautiful blue mineral at least in some forms. It can take other colors less commonly like a very beautiful purple.
Over the river or through the woods?

Through the woods on a good day. Otherwise, up the staircase and into the kitchen. People with gardens do put up fences here, because of the deer eating anything you successfully grow.
Any lost relatives or friends you especially miss at this time of year?

No. I've tried some bridge building in the past to no avail. Even when I was the injured party. So now I just concentrate on very immediate family. And that works for me. My parents are long gone so I'm happy to leave them be.
It's Christmas day here. Turkey for lunch with all the trimmings. What will you be having to eat?
Oh and merry Christmas, y'all. 🎅

I'm not sure--whatever stepmom is preparing (usually for Christmas it is either turkey or lasagna).
Do you do any cooking on Christmas, and if so, what is your specialty?

My father used to make this dish for occasions, Tamale Pie. It is really more of a Mexican Lasagna. First I make a tomato based chili sauce. Then add layers of corn tortillas, sauce, cheeses, various olives, marinated red peppers and green chilies. Bake a little over an hour. Reserve some sauce to add when serving. I always end up with way too much ingredients and make extra so we will be eating this into the new year, and beyond with help from the freezer. It is very savory and spicy. You can't go wrong with olives and cheese.
Do you ever give yourself a Christmas present?
