Detroit Mock-Cock-Rock Masters. Had them on mix tonight . I have a feeling I will catch myself singing "My people need a place to go! My people need a place to go!" as I run toward a bathroom with grandkids, someday.

Here's an uplifting one. It's a song that gets earwormed in my head whether or not I've heard it in weeks, despite the fact that I actually fine it a little cloying. Vance Gilbert takes the lead on this duo/ split album (mostly covers). Vance is a black folk singer who is the subject of the Ellis Paul song "Translucent Soul" (which he titled his album for). Originally by Red Molly/ Susan Werner.

My bigger E6 Fast Food reference is from Danger! High Voltage! I can not go to a Taco Bell without thinking "Fire in the Disco! Fire in the Taco Bell!" especially since I only use their Fire salsa (not sure if it existed when the song was released). On a hunch, I texted my son "Fire in the Disco!" Not too long afterward I received his two texts: "haha did you hear that song? fire in the taco bell!" I thought it sounded familiar...now I know how to get his attention.

More FFF. More proof that we French can rock and funk with the best of 'em.
See if you can spot Spike Lee.

Wow! Nice! I wanted this from someone, years ago. Didn't get it. Instead, I worried, worried, worried. If only I had received contact like this. It was really all I needed, an official good-bye. Now I know what it would have sounded like. Thank you, Intro.

What, really??? YouTube US won't let you watch French videos? You're kidding me, right? Well, what about the one below? It's FFF performing an acoustic version of one of their 90s funk hits at a radio station.
