Oh, noooooooo! I don't want to go into politics!!! I will despise myself! Actually, miles my hands aren't nice anymore. All that OCD Handwashing has taken its toll, and the skin damage brown spots are not at all attractive. I echo donavan 's sentiment that I hope Terra Incognita and their family are all alright and that Finntrovertigo and his family are also well. Boy Howdy, I sure would appreciate some kindly visitors...especially someone to play Picture Association with. It feels weird playing that all by myself. Introvertigo has shown spunk and temerity in working at several games in the kids room while there were few Back Porchers around. I don't know if I can follow in his footsteps, I am pretty pokey and tortoise-like. Dang!

Don't be deterred, postage stamp sized pictures are still 'first class'
I had that problem but got around it but can't remember how. I think I've only ever posted one picture on here, too much hassle using the desktop version on my phone. The mobile version is very limited. I'm sure someone else can help you out.

I have not been able to post photos any bigger than a postage stamp. How do you do it? I hope this isn't too elementary, I know most people can do this, I am just trying to not miss any steps.) Do you use the google search engine? That's what I use. I am using a laptop, and I open another window to do my search in. First, mentally picture what you want to answer with an image. Second, type exactly what you are mentally picturing into the search field on your newly opened window. Hit enter. (It may take a couple changes in wording to get what you want dialed in.) Third, on google search, there is a little magnifying glass icon underneath the field where you typed and next to it there are various ways to search for what you typed in...click on images and a bunch of images that may or may not be related for what you typed in. (It is just like a regular search-things that have a portion of what you typed can come up, too.) Fourth, click on an image. In my search (Safari/Apple) it will come up in a box to the right of the screen. Hover over the image-you will then see dimensions of the image you are going to copy. If it isn't too big or too little, right click on the image. A drop down menu will appear and as you hover over that menu, you scroll down until you get to Copy Image Address-left click on that. You have copied it to your "clipboard" in your computer. (Your clipboard is like a parking place to put data you want to move around. As far as I know, you can keep putting that same data all over the place until you replace it with a copy of something else.) Now, switch back to the window you have the Back Porch open on and start a reply in the thread in which you wish to put up an image. Across the top of the Creat post place whare we usually just type, there is a line of ways to tailor your post...toward the right, you will see what looks like a little landscape picture. Left click on that. (You can hover over the various tools to remind yourself what they mean.) A window that says Insert Image comes up. Where it says Image URL, delete the first https stuff (It will be in what you saved to your clipboard already.) I always Left Click to place my cursor in the beginning of the field and then right click to bring up the drop down menu that has editing functions listed. Paste should be enabled since you saved something to your clipboard. Click on Paste. Then click on Insert Image. Voila! It is very similar to posting a song link, but you use a different tool and get the address of the thing you want to copy in a different way...or maybe the same way, I dunno. I do it two different ways because I am getting the addresses from two different sources. Maybe I am doing too much work. Lol.

Thank you Mare If it doesn't work or you need clarification on any bits of the directions, I will be happy to assist! Please join me in Picture Association, it can be a lot of fun! Plus, in The Back Porch Outhouse, there is a thread titled How Do I Post Pictures From The Web? There are a couple much simpler explanations to understand than what I used way more verbiage to explain. You may find that more beneficial.

I mostly live in the Outhouse these days. Please drop in and say hello. Bring air freshener. I will spray some air freshener on the outside of my mask. Is it at all possible to meet in the garden? We do have a garden, don't we? This image of a rose is provided by the its originators Weeks Roses It is a very fragrant hybrid Tea Rose with enormous blooms when they open. Her real name is Barbra Streisand. I called her Babs. I miss my garden.

Most of the ones I want to post, I can't get the url. I don't do right click? Have an apple and use the cursor when it changes from an arrow to a hand pointing to open link. I will probably figure it out eventually.

Are you searching on the page that says images, not just the images on the All search page? Perhaps we will have to both be on here and try to work through the process at the same time. Some images that are private photographs don't work, and I think that images that have really long addresses are too long for the field that is set up for us to use. I tend to look for images from websites that I know are legit, like ones ending .org or from wikipedia. I don't use .png images for some reason, but don't remember why. I don't always get images to post, sometimes I have to try a couple times before I get one to work.

I've been out of touch for several days due to headache(s) that have been on again, off again, but have been free of GD headache for 24 hours, now. Fingers crossed that I will have a reprieve for a week or two.
What's up with all of you?

The sky?

Let's hope it stays there!
Sunset last night was weird...for the dusty desert...it was very hazy, the sun was on the orange-ish. That is a normal brush fire sun, so I thought, where's the fire now? It turned out to be moisture in the air-the coast was really foggy this morning on the news, but bright blue skies for me. We are expecting Santa Ana winds, which have already started ravaging the area to the East of me.

'the sun was on the orange-ish'
Let's hope that's not a sign of things to come.
