I was thinking we have some miscellaneous and serious topic things outside of music as well as plenty of word games. But I don't think I saw a thread like this. So I'm suggesting something not quite like the insignificant thread. If there's one close enough and you want to merge it Ned by all means go ahead. My intention with this is the ask and for us to learn more about each other I certainly see you guys as friends.
Anytime someone's done something they'd like to share about I think was fun and particularly neat please do.
Starting us off. I'm not particularly expert at photography and I have exceptionally amateur equipment but doing best with that as I can I like to occasionally try and capture astrophotography images. Not set up for deep space or anything but occasionally a comment a minor planet or planet passing in front of something. I enjoy photography a lot especially also of plants like flowers or forest things and animals. Recently that green common in the news I tried to photograph. It's certainly not nearly as visible as neo-wise was a few years ago. I did get a green dot after much effort pretty boring without a tail like most comments would show but nonetheless I thought it was kind of cool and it always gives me a feeling that with a longer exposure 5 seconds in this case that the camera can collect enough light to see things you can't or a very hard to with the naked eye or even binoculars.
If I feel well enough tomorrow which is always a crap shoot I'm hoping to go to the Dr Seuss museum in Springfield Massachusetts which I haven't seen before.
Has anyone been up to something they'd like to share hobby or otherwise?

I got to the Dr Seuss Museum. It was interesting. Maybe not quite as much of draft type artwork as I was hoping to see from what led to the final images for books. It was visually pretty with the typical style illustrations and backgrounds painted and some in 3D sculptures. There were four other museums included for the price so not a bad deal. A museum on the history of the town which apparently had something to do with the friendly's chain of restaurants ice cream origin. There are two art museums that were pretty good. One was more medieval and Renaissance art although some modern two and the other was more various Asian countries or as far as I could recognize Japan and China and probably others but those are most discernible to me. The neatest thing was Salvador Dali designed playing cards lithographs. So prints of his designs that he signed and they were interesting looking. Not totally off the wall but neat and they had some information on plaques talking about some of the themes and objects within why or what they meant. Pretty good day out which is unusual at least for me so I'll take it.
How about you guys? Engage in any hobbies new or old or participate in anything you'd care to share?

I don't have any hobbies. I haven't really enjoyed anything recently. But I embrace the mundane. As the song goes, I'm living in a movie which doesn't move me. But when things go wrong and disaster hits, then that movie looks very appealing. If happiness is just the absence of emotional pain then that will do for me. I'm glad you enjoyed your trip, blue, and well done for making an effort on here. Keep flogging... 😉

I'm enjoying the Arsenal v City match tonight. But it is tempered by my expected attendance in office tomorrow. 😔

I watched the Loki show first few episodes. I noticed how '70s the style of the building interiors were. Then I read some comments and articles conjecturing On the origins and trends as they change in the '70s and '80s. It was a good laugh. Some of it is too familiar from the house I grew up in.

'After World War II, Americans found themselves flush with cash in a booming economy' Certainly wasn't like that over here. The majority of people were skint, war weary and rationing still existed for some time.

So over there with clear obvious differences since your mainland got attacked compared to ours*, How long did it take for things like essential rebuilding supply lines and a reasonable of rationing to occur?

If it makes you feel better, Don, we have been fucked politically, economically, socially, and everthingally for decades by the Baby Boomers, so we had our own post-war difficulties.

For the record, it's shit on here without you. Yes, it's one big political fuck fest. There seems no end to it.
