I've had enough screaming nieces and nephews to last me for another year. And best wishes to my sister-in-law, who is now in quarantine with my stepbrother and their kids after she was diagnosed with covid. Some fucking Christmas present.

I've had a great day. Well until my wife and daughter's kind batteries went flat about 4pm. Then it was pure shit. Oh well....

No family left except an elderly aunt in Maine. No driving to do and several inches of snow that let you know you're better off staying home. Like usual. So far so good.

I had a nice day. Went out for a homemade crispy waffle and watched Elf. And I got to sit on a very comfy couch and my feet could reach the floor. I relaxed!
Then, I went home, called my mom and regaled her with my Christmases Past Memories of wonderful smelling kitchens and tasty food, much family happiness. She seemed happy to hear about that stuff.
After that, I proceeded to make my dinner which was heavy on carbs and soy. I attempted to find something on TV but it was Christmas, so nothing of much interest to me. I fell asleep listening to a podcast about HBO+ show Landscapers. I had been hoping to find out more about this actual couple and their actual lives because though I like the show and it is being told in a very interesting way I was pretty surprised to find out it actually happened.
