And it wasn't just Australia. It happened over here and over there, whilst people cheered for more and demonised people as-anti vaxxers. What a shambles.

There was only ever one reason to wear a mask. See below.

They really don't. Your government/ health officials and mine have said as much. We were taken for idiots. And now they know they have complete control of us. And we comply with their Pavlovian conditioning. Woof Woof! I will never wear one again unless I absolutely have to. And I'm in the majority in England. We have had enough of the misinformation, contradictions and bullshit. And everyone who fed us these lies are now nowhere to be seen. Just counting their money from the pharmaceutical companies they were in bed with.

Surgical masks offer no protection against airborne viruses and cloth masks are mere facial decoration. These are the type of masks most people wear. This info is widely available from reliable sources on the internet. My son who has just got covid works in hospitals. He said the proper PPE masks that do work are so tight and uncomfortable you can only wear them for 30 mins max at a time. There is also lots of evidence to show that wearing ineffective face coverings is harmful. We lose our ability to communicate and interpret facial expressions. Especially damaging to children and young adults. Of course if it makes you feel happier and safer then go for it. But you may as well wear a traffic cone on your head for all the good they do.

Why do they even bother wearing masks during surgery anyway? Stupid doctors! They've been falling for that same scam for years.

Because surgical masks protect against larger droplets but not airborne viruses. They have a place but they don't protect against covid. You normarily wouldn't be having surgery if you had covid.

Did you ever read any of those Greek myths where the gods punish the silly mortals whose crime was hubris? Good stuff.
Hope you are well, don!

Hope you are well too. Don't forget the traffic cone on your head the next time you go out. You know it makes sense. They said so. Considering covid or the likes plus flu will be here forever, will you wear a mask that doesn't work for the rest of your days? And why didn't you wear one prior to covid to protect against influenza? Probably because you wasn't told to. And that's a very interesting point and a very scary one too. 😷😷😷

Maybe I don't know what you're talking about. I'm not wearing a mask anywhere much these days. Mask mandates have been suspended in New Orleans for a pretty good while now. Even having Mardi Gras didn't cause a big surge in cases. It's pretty calm around these parts for the time being, (and I hope that doesn't mean we're in for some bad news soon.) Anyway, your traffic cone joke was hilarious but I don't think it really applies to me in the way you seemed to mean.
However, I do think it is extremely arrogant and a bit silly for you to proclaim with such unrelenting certainty that masks aren't helpful in preventing the spread of Covid. But, you know, it's the internet. So feel free, I guess.
And I really do like Greek mythology. I was sincere about that recommendation. Lots of entertaining sex and violence.

Yeah there is a lot of crap on the internet, you have to look carefully. But you only have to do some basic general research yourself to see that the type of masks most people wear are a nonsense. And that is generally agreed amongst the medical profession these days. And as for my point about traffic cones. We have got to a point were we have become so frightened, controlled and subservient we almost believe anything we are told. And act accordingly. As Andy P (what happened to him?) used to say, question everything. If that's being arrogant and silly, then so be it.
As a side note about Greek mythology, I don't find violence entertaining. Sex, however.....

Two strong but opposite views but only I am arrogant and silly. You do the math.

I don't think a thin fabric mask is effective. The good ones are, but nothing is 100%. If you want to see what happens when people stop wearing them and go to big indoor events, see the gridiron dinner in DC. Democrats can be stupid too.
