My annual New Year's Eve celebration--drinking lots of beer and watching a Thin Man marathon on TCM. To paraphrase a Benny Hill joke, I live life with a big L, and sometimes suffer pain with a big P. Mmmm! Classic Film Marathon! TCM is good for that kind of fun! I passed by a couple Twilight Zone Marathons-something that at one time, I could not miss. This year for me it was a Downton Abbey marathon on one of my PBS Stations. There were frequent Pledge Breaks, so I could also get my laundry done and go make snacks. (Hey-I don't remember...Did we ever find out what happened to that guy who left England to live in Germany so he could divorce his mentally ill wife and marry Lady Edith Crawley who realized she was knocked up as she waited for his sorry butt to return? He disappeared, what a surprise. Her choices in men were not so good there for awhile.) I had hot chocolate-some ornament shaped balls of chocolate that you put in the (insert various milk or milk like beverages here) warmed up...the chocolate melts and suddenly, tiny marshmallows pop to the surface of the mug. Big action for my New Year's Eve!!!

Yes sorta. You pour the drink back and forth to make it frothier from mug to pitcher. It's a class of drinks like margarita or highballs.

Big action for my New Year's Eve!!! The hot chocolate with magically appearing marshmallows sounds fun. I haven't watched the show, but I thought I've read a big part of it involves showing the fancy period appropriate foods. Is that true? I made the Titanic's first class menu's chartreuse jelly once. It was awful. I think less chartreuse next time could make a decent dessert.

They needn't be mutually exclusive.

I mostly noticed the period costumes and elaborate table settings, I am sorry to say, Bluey! (Both were gorgeous!)

Happy tax free weekend! (Must live in Ohio, does not apply to all products, you still must pay any licensing fees owed to Introvertigo, LLC) I question that there is such a thing in reality, unless it is put in the books as "other" in the company spending or donations.

We've got another heat-wave this week. Get in! I love climate change. A change for the better. Fuck the future generations. Most of my life has been shit. So get on with it and suck it up. It is what it is. Innit?

It is what it is. Innit? Then they that have major back stocks of food to keep them until Judgment Day will be Third Place finishers. The people out in the middle of Nowhere with the bunkers who thought ahead about Fall Out will be Second Place. Nobody will win.

What is this thread, she posed after she posted. Happy Holidays!!??!!??!! Well shit, donavan. You were right, again. We should celebrate now. Get to work! Our Tree Skirt...if you are going to wipe your feet on it, make sure your socks are clean and your shoes are parked by the door.

Happy Thanksgiving to those on this side of the pond. My family will be celebrating tomorrow because of work schedules, so I will be joining after working Black Friday (I'm hoping for a slow day where I can duck out early--I know our store is over on payroll hours, so this is a good possibility).
