Sounds like a good deal for 40$ less than median. Nice find.
I'm glad they reissued the Jihad Jerry (Gerald of Devo) cd (and with extra tracks) as it was fairly pricey whenever available on discogs.

Bah, got the Tom Waits album.
Boy was I right to be skeptical. A big scratch over the first three songs, and what seemed to be an admission of its poor quality... it had what I thought was a pre-printed return slip in the package, reason:"defective.". After cleaning and listening to the album to be sure (horrible surface noise and a smaller scratch made one song unplayable) I looked at the slip again... the details weren't for MY order, they had accidentally left the return slip in the package for a PREVIOUS return. In any case, they instantly refunded the full amount without asking for a return. So they had that going for them. But it really is a poor copy and I'm back on the hunt for a good one.

That's a real bummer. Hopefully another copy turns up for you soon.

My cd EP of Men Without Hats covers that was just released arrived. I thought it was neat fun that along with it a band autographed graphic slip was included.

I ordered the signed cd of Duran Duran's new album, Future Past.
I tried to order the old limited release of Men Without Hat's on their old site, who knows if it went through properly or not, No Hats Beyond This Point.

Technically, bought a couple dozen records this weekend, but some are meant for resale. This weekend started the first local "Friends of the Library Sale" in two years. I borrowed a walker with a seat attached so I could stand the lines and keep things on while I shopped, as I still shouldn't be carrying heavy objects.
Things I bought for myself included some early John Denver and Emmylou Harris albums...Simon & Garfunkel, Cat Stevens. No "great finds" for my personal collection but they were mostly $2 or cheaper each. I may have got a good lot to sell with some "BBC Transcription Service" (Broadcast) Records of The Goon Show. They each have initials showing that each were played in the mid 60's at some local station.

Goon Show radio station discs sound pretty awesome as a score, Nonsuch Ned! How are you holding up after such a major outing after surgery?

I pictured that immediately, my mom has had one for a few years. (It is a bitch to put into the car trunk.) I was thinking of straining to move the rolly chair into and out of vehicles and carrying awkward armloads of library booty around. Plus, when you haven't been active in a long time, lots of muscle groups are saying "Oh, no you didn't!"

And you have to look out for DVT. I was laid up for a long time and and got one of those. Not good. So any form of moving around aided or unaided is preferable.
