I really gotta stop. Got RTJ4 (Run the Jewels 4) on vinyl, I've listened to it streaming a ton, so I guess I felt the responsibility to actually pay THEM something, instead of Amazon- and it was the first time I saw it in a store. Annoyingly, no download code for a digital version. I then remembered that they promoted that they make all their albums free to download, so I went to their site. Yes, there is a free download- of the entire album on one track. ...So, turned on the VPN and downloaded it from The Pirate Bay

I acquired a Hatfield & The North CD recently on eBay. A live performance from 1990 of which there are some clips on Youtube.

I think the last CD I bought was the album, A Walk Across the Rooftops by The Blue Nile. This was at a charity event many years ago and it cost me £1. The feature track is Easter Parade. Andy P once said it's impossible to listen to this track without becoming emotional. He's not wrong. Speaking of AP, has anyone invited him over recently?

Speaking of the above ⬆️
I found this review on Amazon -
The songs are quite individual and I won't give a track by track review except to say that Easter Parade should come with a health warning for anyone feeling the slightest bit sad. I was reduced to floods of tears at the first listening and aim to be lying down on the floor the next time I play it.

I bought an original vinyl copy of Abba's Voulez-Vous a few months ago.
And you can bet that I will pre-order their upcoming new album as soon as I can. My daughters are super-excited!

That's the name of the game, the winner takes it all. I won yesterday too, the day before you came.

I picked up CSNY's Deja Vu 50th box yesterday. Waiting for delivery by the post. Hoping for All Things Must Pass 50th release date to be announced soon . Keeping an eye out for a rumored Kid A/Amnesiac anniversary box set, and of course excitedly waiting for Mr. Partridge's next releases. Day one purchases for me.

I think you and I are travelling in opposite directions, Bluey. I bought Déjà Vu and ATMP in their original vinyl versions at a used record shop several years ago.
But I'll tell you one box set of CDs I'm actually thinking of buying, and that's Joni Mitchell's The Early Years.

I have the originals too but I dig any extra songs they may have pulled from the Harrison archive (finaly, I hope). Also, perhaps a sideways direction but I'm positively delighted Men Without Hats is getting ready to put out a new album (technically two as one will be covers and one 12 original songs)

I used to go to Bleecker Bob's in the village al the time to augment the collection I inherited (plus attending used record shows at the likes of the local Holiday Inn)

My third vinyl haul from Loved Again Media was a disaster, I doubt I'll keep anything from it. They almost completely disregarded my preferences and gave me 6 albums from their dollar bin.
I picked up the VMP release of John Prine's self-titled debut. Fantastic.
Next LAM haul is in the snail mail, hopefully my loud complaining results in a better batch this time. Hoping they actually pay attention to the preference changes I made this time.

All my vinyl is scratched and the sleeves pretty messed up too. Don't even know where my records are now. Mostly in the loft. I've had so much fun out of my records. And the chips and the scratches show that. This is Pop!

Those pops and crackles are what gives it character...as you say..it's been played and enjoyed... Get yer' discs out Don...and enjoy them some more.
