Originating from a question I asked about complaints in the Interview the Person Below thread, here is a place to lodge complaints about whatever is annoying you at the moment, as well as give possible solutions to your fellow complainers. And if you don't like this idea for a thread, keep your complaints to yourself.

I will start by complaining about the barking dogs in my neighborhood, particularly the small, ugly, rat-looking dog from across the street that isn't chained up and that constantly runs up and starts yapping at my heels. Is it inappropriate to respond by sticking a size 12.5 boot up a dog's ass?

Could you not just shoot it? I had an uncle fron Atlanta, Georgia and he said shooting dogs was normal practice where he lived.

Blimey. After posting the above I went onto the BBC news app and read about the shooting in Texas. It's almost a daily familiar story. I'd like to complain about the insanity of the gun culture in the USA.

And don't you dare suggest we need to something about the gun problem in this country. It is too soon, too emotional a time. Right now the only thing we can do is offer up some meaningless thoughts and prayers, and never, ever, ever address shooting deaths.

And to show how sad this is, Don, I thought you were making reference to the other mass shooting in Texas from a few days with the lunatic who killed a bunch of people who wanted to sleep at midnight and wanted the idiot to stop shooting his gun. I had to look up that you were referring to another mass shooting in Texas. Dog, the people in this country are fucking insane.

The GOP response to each successive mass shooting appears to be further easing any remaining gun restrictions. Hard to know where to even begin a discussion with people who react to the slaughter of human beings that way.

You are not a weird American, because in that you are just like me. I don't want to see them, I don't want to touch them and I sure don't want to use defending myself as a reason to get one. I am really unhappy with the skewed viewpoints coming from miscellaneous soapboxes in the government right now that STILL show signs of escalating divergence and alienation. Alienation-how's that for a new name for the country? But since driving is getting to be more like The Figure 8 Crash-Em-Up Derby out at Irwindale Speedway, I think I probably have trying to survive the drives to and from work as the main point of Complaintenance.
