I was definitely tired. It actually comprised two trips though because they have two buildings. One building has Art and... Comic Books, Gaming, Anime & Manga, The other building has pretty much anything else you might think would be in a library. Guess where I went first and got the most stuff? And for the first trip I enlisted help from a very thoughtful work friend who lugged around the overflowing bag of graphic novels, video game guides and and an awkward collectors ed. Monopoly game (as she grabbed some fun stuff for herself). I was then forced into a break as I had to get into a line for the second building that wrapped around a block thanks to Covid related occupancy limits. Friend had to leave to help OTHER people (she's a a serial volunteer) but the second building had a way to put stuff in a separate holding area where I could drop off my first lot of stuff (Like a dozen or so sheet music books to resell- good ROI on those if you know which- easy to ship). I actually return tomorrow for 10 cent day- which may actually produce the biggest haul, but I can use a cart for that (weren't allowed the first day).
The walker was collapsible, so not too hard to transport.

Keep on keeping on Ned. And moving. Still not bought any music for a very long time. The buying music gig is so over for me. Don't nick it either although I use free legal music Apps like Spotify and listen and watch stuff on YT. I really don't know what is right or legal these days.

I bought this package deal about a year ago. They just sent me a package with another couple albums... One might be packaged in an art BOOK... with neat typographic designs. The albums are CD's but the BOOK is quite big. You could say it's a giant size, the size of a vinyl album. But as the album you may be thinking of hasn't been released yet. That can't be it. It certainly didn't come early for fans, The other is a collection of Secret Music... so I can't tell you about it... or the first one I got a few months ago.
It could have also come with a 1000 piece puzzle of a guy in a rowboat. I could tell you about that too, but it doesn't matter ow much you flood me requests, I'm not saying a thing,
...Oh, You must be thinking of some other band.
certainly didn't also get a download of an EP that you could call a pamphlet companion to the BOOK.
So no asking.

Ordered a copy of Lick My Decals Off Baby. It was OOP during my last period of interest in Captain Beefheart. This time it was kickstarted by listening to interviews of Zoot Horn Rollo, Art Tripp and other Magic Band members.
Bought some jazz fusion cds I liked back in the day by Return To Forever: Romantic Warrior and Hymn of the 7th Galaxy.

Wear a mask to catch the drool and prevent decrease in value! Don't forget to share with us when you can...I want a big THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT from you when all can be revealed!

Maybe I'm just not tall enough or my car's trunk isn't big enough, because I sure got out of breath trying to get my mom's cruiser into the trunk.

It's barely concealed, I tried to slightly off-color the answer in my message but it didn't come off distinctive enough. THEY are being very weird about their "secret" fan club- which was heavily promoted during sign-up. But now THEY are sending out messages to the members that they seriously don't want us talking about and sharing pictures of the goodies we got in the mail because it's not wildly available. They also don't want us sharing the exclusive stuff or things like download codes (that part is understandable). In the past, the whole "secret" thing has come off as a joke, but suddenly two of the biggest jokers in music are being a bit weird about it all.

As a TMBG Instant Fan Club member, I am a willing participant in this secret experiment in human happiness. When asked about the Instant Fan Club, I shall reply, โOh, I donโt know. You must be thinking of some other band.โ

Nonsuch Ned, I didn't even notice the color difference until you made it something I/we couldn't miss. Saying something is a secret or don't tell anyone about this is the best way to get the news to spread like a brush fire. I do get that the limited supply has something to do with a request for discretion. Perhaps another batch/pressing/? is in order. Oh, to be a particle on that wall! In the meantime, I turned to Google with a few choice words and phrases and found a contender. They apparently have had other instant secret clubs in the past. How fun for all!

In completely unrelated news, They Might Be Giant's new Album, Book is available widely on Friday Nov. 12. Available as a download, on CD, on vinyl, on Cassette, and even as an oversized book... imagine that. At one point, they even offered a very limited run on 8-Track. tmbgshop.com/products/book

Blue Sky Sun by The Well Wishers--it came out last year, but I never ordered it until now. I think the Well wishers may have another one out since then, so I'll likely get that one, as well.

The Lottery Winners who live near me are worth a listen. I watched them at Leigh Sports Village, Greater Manchester, and they were thoroughly entertaining. Not bought any of their music though.
