This is one heck of a depressing thread. Can we kill it instead of the official one? I have lost enthusiasm for posting every outrage and even the humorous takes. But sometimes I need to do it, to vent no doubt, but also it feels like surrender to just stop entirely.

And Boris too. Both voted in by us. That's what's really scary.

They are doing a lot of toing and froing considering they are 'environmentalists' and like to tell us how we should be taking more care of the planet.

He does awful things (or his cronies do) every day. Most are off the radar, changing regulations, keeping needed disaster funds from Puerto Rico, hiring the worst, destructive people to dismantle democracy. But who can keep track anymore I thought that his Cabinet appointments were some of the worst possible people to have in the offices they were to hold. The fact that there are a whole lot of "Acting" but not actual Cabinet members is pretty scary to me. People who did not get Security Clearances but still perform (and assumably get paid for) jobs to which they were appointed makes me grind my teeth. All this is in addition to the Palace of Nepotism the White House and D.C. environs have become. Kurt Vonnegut Jr.'s energy must be spinning like a top someplace- the Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell Robot's gears, bells and whistles are probably ready for an overhaul they are used so much. I wish that Corporate Lobbyists were extinct.

One of the (likely flawed) models predicts ONLY 60,000 will die by August. So of course mango mussolini is declaring victory. Boy is he pissed about losing so much money, the dead bodies, not so much. "We've got to reopen, have you seen how much $ my properties have lost?"
