Well, I woke up this morning And I got myself a beer. Well, I woke up this morning And I got myself a beer. The future's uncertain And the end is always near.
I am a complete failure as a day drinker. Putting aside the work issue, it puts me to sleep.

Nope, I think my response to the song was unnecessary. We all struggle in our lives.

Hey it's ok. Sometimes I over react. Sometimes I forget where I am and give too much away. But either way it's ok, my friend.

It is good to have a place where we can freely express ourselves, even if later we think twice about it. I have a clear tendency to be snarky, not always who I really am, another sort of reactive response.

If this place was more busy we could bounce off each other. The fact that it isn't makes me feel a bit silly sometimes so I retract.
Drinking dry white wine tonight. Nice.

A nice drop of sweet sherry for breakfast

I no longer buy a bottle of sherry at Christmas because it's still in the cupboard unopened come summer.

My family kept a gallon of dry sherry in the garage. A gallon you say? It was a local winery that produced it. My grandfather would decant some into a smaller bottle upstairs. The unattended gallon was subjected to surreptitious raids by a teenaged Miles. So let's say I developed a taste for it. I don't like the sweet varieties at all, however.

Sherry did seem more popular back then. I also remember raiding my parents supply when they had friends and family over. I'm guessing it was the first proper drink for a lot of kids. When I was a bit older I'd nick a couple of my dad's cigarettes after he'd had a good drink knowing he would have no idea how many he had left the next day. Oh happy days

Beefeater gin-and-tonics. I am nicely buzzed.

Beefeater gin-and-tonics. I am nicely buzzed. I'm getting a contact high. There's no buzz like a gin buzz.

Vodka or Gin?

Gin grew on me, I haven't had vodka in years, but there were a couple decades it was a fixture.
Rum or Tequila?
