That's not insignificant...you reminded me that my health care provider wants me to complete that paperwork...which I have been avoiding. Thank you!

In thinking about it after making it I'd suggest: 1 leave out thr salt. Its nkt baking there was no reason I xan see it just tasted oddly salty.
2 I left out the ginger intentionally as some daid it was too spicy.
Pleased with results but nonsalt woupd be better.
I made fresh whipped cream instead of using cool whip. I found it tasted better with the spice and salt flavor blunted by freezing as better tasting than out of the fridge.
This is like a mousse in having gelatin from thr marshmallows plus whipped cream and flavoring (although it adds corn syrup from thr marshmallows too). Maybe thus a typical mousse prep would be good too, but its a creative way that is also without any concerns of a lack of pasteurization from using raw whites in mousse if that bothers oneself.

I apologize to the Back Porch, all the Bots and our Silent Partners who are invisible. I am sorry I barfed my pensive and pondering thoughts all over the place. I have cleaned most of it up and sprayed some Lysol. I did not cancel myself. I saved a copy.

The most important influences on my early years were Mad Magazine and The Twilight Zone. I watched a good chunk of the TZ marathon on the holiday. What really sunk in was how much it formed my world view. Outsiders being persecuted by conformist functionaries, the battle between ignorance and science, tales of unlikely redemption, and underlying most episodes, a determined pessimism, a fatalistic judgement on the human race. The influence of its esthetics too, the black and white photography, the determined characters in impossible situations, is what made Noir so attractive to me as I grew older.

But you never get there. And that's the beauty of living. Then you die.

I read a lot of Mad (and Cracked too). I remember also searching at flea markets etc for old issues of the magazine and the books.

I read a lot of Mad (and Cracked too). I remember also searching at flea markets etc for old issues of the magazine and the books. I was really into the paperback reprints as a kid. The original comic and early magazine format were from the 50s. Eventually I scored the EC Library edition of the early Mad comics. When the censors shut down EC, they kept Mad alive by switching to the Magazine format. The distributors refused to put their comics on the stands, but magazines were for "adults." What did Mad teach me? Upstanding adults are phony hypocrites, advertisements are phony, Society and religion are corrupt, don't believe what they are pushing on you. Most importantly, What me worry?
