First day of the year to hit 92˚F. Yuk! The rest of the week, back to normal - yah! Two and half hours later and it's now 96˚F Holy Schmoley!!!! I wonder if Peggs received a profile notification for quoting herself. Also, I hate hot weather.

It's raining in The North West of England. Very unusual.

Do you mean that rainfall in that area is unusual, or that the rain itself is unusual? I get a mental image of squirrels and banjos and economic treatises raining down from the heavens. Then again, I have been accused of having water on the brain.

I meant it's nearly always raining. At least lately. And always nice when I'm in work. Or at least it feels that way.

I took a four-hour nap earlier. Now I will probably be up until five in the morning.

I learned a new word today--pareidolia. This is the tendency to see something meaningful in random images, such as looking for the Man in the Moon, or making shapes out of the clouds. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pareidolia

I enjoyed listening to George Ezra tonight. Impressed.

Boys In The Band by THE LIBERTINES had an XTc feel to it, or a feel of whoever XTc borrowed it from. And the set after a slow start was very good. The new stuff especially. T - in the Park. Enjoyed it but not important enough to make a fuss about.

Given that I make a fuss about a clogged-up toilet, I consider an enjoyable concert to be far from insignificant.

But we don't want these popsters getting ahead of themselves, do we?

I went out on a date with Simile. I don’t know what I metaphor.

My part of Ohio has been infested with crickets. I have stepped on a number of them inadvertently. I have also stepped on four or five intentionally. That's what they get for trying to live in my house rent-free.

Introvertigo, you could start your own business like these folks.

I collapsed while helping my dad mow the lawn earlier (most likely caused by low blood sugar, something that has happened a few times in the past). On the plus side, as I lay swooning in the back yard, no goddamned crickets jumped over me.

Whoa there, Introvertigo. As the saying goes, remember to hydrate!
It's too hot in my neck of the woods to do much of anything. It sucks being indoors with air conditioning.
