Two days away from customers and unreliable coworkers. I might have a drink or ten to celebrate.

And to you, Don--I'm hoping to have Wednesday off, too (not scheduled to work, but the flakiness of my co-workers might necessitate working that day)

I voted today! Stephen Colbert for President! (just kidding) Was this your state's regular voting day, peggs? The first I heard of this voting early was a couple days ago. I thought that was called "mailing in your absentee ballot." I'm voting for John Oliver...I want an uncensored President.

Mare, new to me this election cycle is early voting in Wisconsin. It's essentially absentee voting that is done in person at City Hall. I don't know if it works the same in other states. I am pleasantly surprised by the number of people I've encountered that have voted this way. I must say it was a pleasant experience. John Oliver is an excellent choice!

I might vote for my new avatar, Ash. Sure, he's not very smart, and he generally only succeeds by dumb luck (kind of like Drumpf), but at least he has a chainsaw hand. Take that, deadites.

It's a fact that when your parents or parent or guardian have something significant to say, we are too young to get it. Then when we get it they are too old or dead so can't have that conversation. Wish I could have those chats with my dad now. Timing eh? What a fucker.

I feel exactly the same way, donavan...I sure would like to let him know that he was "right" about lots of things, give him a big hug and tell him I love him, very much.

I am glad people are voting, but the reason for the turn out is wrong, wrong, wrong in my mind. We should all vote every chance we get, but only until we die and only once in an election.

I think it is significant that this thread had remained inactive for two months.

I have been trying to resurrect dormant threads, the significance of which eludes me.
