Miles, the bigger picture is lovely! That is some pretty scary looking space the astronaut is having a float in. Is the space traveler male, female, possibly even child? Gender non-specific? I get a child vibe, but since the Universe is so huge, it may just be perspective driven. I love your versions of everything, from Space to Nature to Faraway Fantasy Lands. It's all good! Thank you for sharing with us! This is the vision of Jackson Hamm, songwriter and vocalist of the band. As I understand it, the protagonist has traveled to the farthest reaches of space to find the galaxy-size consciousness we call God, and ask the essential questions: Why are we here? etc. He receives this knowledge, but on the return voyage back to Earth, his ship is destroyed, he is left floating in space, aware his mission has failed. Jackson had this specific moment in mind for the artwork, and I worked with him to realize what he envisioned. I have done several jobs similar to this. Usually I work with an art director for a publication, where they buy rights to an existing piece or commission me to interpret a story for a cover or interior illustration. This was the creator of a project, with something already in mind they want me to bring to life. These kind of assignments can go badly, if they don't think my art looks like what they pictured. I have told a couple authors to learn how to paint if they need an exact image rendered from their mind. I prefer to have more freedom to interpret, but this job went well. Jackson communicated clearly (a common roadblock is vague instructions) and was happy with my paining. If it takes off, I may have more assignments from him.

I'm glad it worked well and there was clear communication of desired look to you, miles! As for the Protagonist, you captured that "Oh shit! to the Infinity Power" look really well. But wait! Does the knowledge of why we are here help the Protagonist with his loose and free state, or is this what happens to everyone who asks their Higher Power that question? My Higher Power is found in Black Holes in Space, and defined as Goodness, Light, Hope and Strength. If what happened to Protagonist happened to me, I would have a whole lot of Black Holes to check. Hopefully, I would find the right one before an asteroid or space junk took me out. Thanks for the back story, miles!

Thank you Mare! I think there is the idea that despite his mission's failure, the voyager has gained cosmic truth.

I had a rare afternoon nap earlier. Two hours of sleep. I actually feel rested for once.

I think sleep is becoming a bigger part of our lives. Is it because we are taking better care of ourselves, or are we just bored? This comment from someone without kids at home.

It is what it is miles. I'm enjoying drinking too much and falling in love again with early-ish XTc stuff on YouTube. Yeah that's a bit self indulgent for sure and I'll 'Putta Block' on soon. But it will do for now. Loving Colin's stuff which I didn't have much time for at the time. To be honest, I've been surprised that some songs I'd recalled as Andy's are in fact Colin's stuff. Take more water with it don.

I think the above should be in the insignificant thread.

Just remember to remove the original post and send it to the Deleted Posts thread first.

I don't think that applies if you move it. I'd have to go check the rules. You've more reassigned it rather than deleted it, although there will be an element of deletion taking place. It also brings in to play the work in progress element of a post. Posts can't be deleted if they have been commented on. And this one clearly has been. It's a minefield out there.

Great--now we have to delete the entire thread. That means we will only have one Significant Post Thread left.

And that would be significant.
