Manic Mario Bros! There is a lot of great video game music. My son used a little tape recorder to make a game music mix tape to play in my car. I put one of my favorites from WipEout on a playlist for his toddler...

"Just keep thinking happy thoughts, Dewey. I'd hate for this to turn into a bad trip." - George Harrison
I've encountered this song ever couple years and always think I should find more of his stuff. Keep forgetting.

I am pretty tired of Applebee's (Crapplebee's) new commercial on TV using the Theme to Welcome Back Kotter (which I loved) so I need to put something else John Sebastian in my head.

About your John Sebastian post, bluedemon25The gigantic crowd was super quiet and attentive! What a journey he takes us on! (My brain was working overtime: Is this to his biological children, is he coming back from the Civil War, are the listeners his children, turtle was lucky but needs to be in water, what a nice voice so melodic, etc. Thanks for sharing, Bluey!

Were you there? It's on my list of time machine wish list concerts to attend. I did on the 50th stay up for 4 days and listen in real time to the WHOLE thing from the giant box set as a radio station was doing a live broadcast of it following the timing as best as known.

Oh, no, Bluey. I was just listening carefully to the recording. I suppose that the singing could have been isolated somehow, and ambient noise removed from the recording. I noticed that what I knew to be a very large crowd seemed to be hushed and respectfully listening to Mr. Sebastian's performance throughout it. I though perhaps the crowd noise had been removed digitally or by other studio magic, but at the end, there seemed to be a very appreciative audience. I was eleven when the Woodstock experience happend and far away on the West Coast. I had to go into the house when the streetlights came on. Staying up for four days straight would be a challenge for me. Did you enjoy your Retro Festival? I imagine the bathroom and dining scene was much improved.
