Thank you, saturnboy, where ever your energy has gone...now my son and grandson appreciate this band and song, also.

A throwback to Introvertigo, high school edition: It's not a stupid puppet show, it is claymation! That was oddly cool, Intro!

I was just thinking how hot this desert is...and I remembered this Texan guitarist...Eric Johnson was the middle act of a show headlining Joe Satriani in the 90s...(River Rats was the other band on the bill...no me gusto.) I thought Eric Johnson was the best part of the evening.
This performance is from 1988, Austin City Limits, I think. "Desert Rose"
Here's an encore...something more recent "SRV"

Really haven't been paying attention to music lately. but just noticed Aesop Rock has a new rap, dense as ever.
(skip to about 38 seconds if the link doesn't, the intro is pointless)
or just check this out, a video that explains why I like the guy despite the work it can entail. two thing in particular- despite packing the verses with so much, he makes his songs easy to listen to. -and, internal rhymes. I am a complete sucker for internal rhymes. Also a feature of my favorite Andy songs like 1000 Umbrellas.
Now, if you never had a day a snow cone couldn't fix You wouldn't relate to the rogue vocoder blitz How he spoke through a NoDoz motor on the fritz 'Cause he wouldn't play rollover fetch like a bitch And express no regrets, though he isn't worth a homeowner's piss To the jokers who pose by the glitz Fine, sign of the swine in the swarm When a king is a whore who comply and conform Miles outside of the eye of the storm With a siphon to lure out a prize and award While avoiding the vile and bizarre that is violence and war True blue triumph is more Like, "Wait, let him snake up out of the centerfold Let it break the walls of Jericho, ready, go" Sat where the old, cardboard city folk Swap tales with heads, like every other penny throw
