Body Futures did the very strange thing of releasing the album on New Years Day 2018. One local Milwaukee independent journal did remember them on the year-end "best-ofs" Reminds me that the drummer/2nd vocalist of BF is also the drummer/vocalist (they all "sing") for IfIHadAHifi- who recently got the got the somewhat odd honor of a "best punk artist" of the year..2019 (I believe it was released at the end of 2019- not the best time to get an album promoted) from the usually tame WAMI awards. Finally, here are the winners of the 40th Wisconsin Area Music Industry Awards (announced 18 months later due to COVID-19)They largely attribute their first mention in the awards to Die Kreuzen getting a "Hall of Fame" award a few years back and shaming the awards for never recognizing deserving hardcore bands and naming IfIHadaHiFi (now active for 20 years) as a glaring omission. I've shared stuff from them before, but hey, here's a useful new planetary mnemonic.

I love that album cover, it is completely synced with the title! Is that a band member in a hockey player's jersey I mean sweater or the actual hockey player in the van's mural?

That seems to be Reggie White in his Green Bay Packers jersey. The band are all (or mostly) loyal cheese-heads, so I guess it's a tribute to the "Minister of Defense" (he was an ordained minister), with a tongue-in-cheek picture of him in a "Jesus" pose. He died young of a heart condition and not, for once, of anything related to Chronic traumatic encephalopathy.
Theta's one of their "smoother" songs and Dr. Awkward does have a pretty good voice. Yale Delay is the screamer, Mr. Alarm mostly sings back-up. I can't remember who their bassist is now. I knew Reno Loner the best, as he worked at the same office as me. Rev Ever was with them the longest and is on the most recordings but was oddly always considered temporary. Mostly they yell and scream through most of their stuff and a live performance is an assault on your eardrums.

Good old Andrew is now in recurrent rotation due to me listening to the Mix disc my daughter made me. This wasn't on it, but I have liked it a lot for a long time.

^^^ Less than two months now... I guess when we're talking a 17 year gap, a year long tease isn't so long.
So, I have my sleep problems. One of the worst, if all too common, is that if I wake up I tend to start pondering my current anxieties. But lately I've found that when I wake up I often have some song also playing in the background of my head. Usually something I was listening to the day before. So, to distract myself from thinking about other thinks, I focus on the song. It's been a pretty successful strategy. But occasionally, it's a bit more random. SO, a couple days ago I watched a Youtube reaction video from the "Key of Geebz" channel. This "old composer", whose schtick is listening to hard rock and metal he's never heard before, finally got around to listening to a Faith No More song- oddly choosing "Zombie Eaters."
But I didn't get that song stuck in my head, instead it was a different FNM song that I couldn't place... it actually threatened to distract me too much on the song, as I was tempted to get up and figure out what it was. But I let it just kind of hang out in the background... distracting me from thoughts of bills coming due.
Pretty sure it's this one. I'm not actually as much of a fan of King For A Day and Album of the Year (I've always held it against the band a bit for kicking Jim Martin out) so the songs don't come to mind as quickly.

I really love KFAD-FFAL... some really great tunes on that album! My first experience of FNM was at Brixton, when Epic was big in the UK, captured in "You Fat Bastards".
You've reminded me of a track on "Album Of The Year" - which has been an earwork ever since!

Insomnia ear worms, yes. I love Failure, but having this riff in my head, all night before I had to drive to Portland the next morning, was unpleasant.

The long snowny days make me think of the Treasure album and especially this song, which does mimic falling snow imo.

Yes, it is one of the ones from this album that would keep me awake all night. (I gave every other track on the album a ***** rating. This one got ***) I have much respect for Mr. Andrews and prefer his other projects to Failure. My son saw this album tour in Anaheim, I think. He's the one who introduced me to Mr. Andrews' ON project. miles, you introduced me to Mr. Andrews' work as producer/mixing engineer (not sure if both, but know he was on or the other) on Blinker The Star's August Everywhere. (Thank you for that!) At least you could put your finger on the tune, play it and get it out of your head. Too bad you didn't get this one stuck in your head...

I have come around to thinking I like Andrews more as a producer. I still am infatuated with Fantastic Planet, and like a lot of their other material. I think I decided I don't care for his vocals so much. His genius is in crafting songs and sonic arrangement imo.
