Hi, I'm looking for Colin Moulding's Where Did the Ordinary People Go, which was left off Nonsuch back in 1991. I have the version on the demos release but I'm really looking for this version: www.youtube.com/watch?v=gRWIBT4p9SY. Many thanks, Chris

I had forgotten about it. Not even a "new XTC song" could get me to start buying from Itunes, which seems to be the only place a digital version was legally released. Otherwise found on the Apple Vinyl release. I think I figured I'd get it whenever it showed on a physical CD release, but it never was. And now it's not on Itunes anymore either.
I bet it'll be an extra when the AV albums are released in 5.1... hopefully as a CD extra and not just a DVD/BD track.

Finger crossed as you say for the Apple Venus release as I can't play vinyl. ***Update, received this e-mail from Burning Shed : Hi Chris, We’ve looked into this a little further and it transpires it’ll be an “extra” on the WASPSTAR 5.1 - part of the XTC remastered series. We don’t have a release date for that yet I’m afraid. Woo-hooo!

Since he hasn't accepted an invitation yet and he abandoned Twitter, maybe we need an Andy locator.

The other way to get a song off YouTube, albeit only of the quality of the version on Youtube, is to use a program or website that records the audio directly from Youtube. I've done that a couple times. If you google it you'll find a few options. I can't really give a recommendation, I did it only a month or two for a gag video I put on my Nonsuch Ned video but the version I used kept opening new windows and inserting fake Download buttons so I don't want to recommend that one. It's doable if you find it in a Google search, just be very aware of the tricks it's using to apparently give you a virus.

Do masks and hand sanitizer help, Ned?

BTW, the delay is almost certainly with the quality control issue of wanting Steven Wilson to continue doing the remastering jobs. He's a busy guy.
