...how much money is Nedward Nonsuch, or whatever the fuck his name is, raking in on this website?
Jesus, it must be lucrative as hell, and advertisers must be knocking at the back door! Wait, is it now the front door? Why don't you change the name to indicate that you're no longer taking a backseat to anybody, Nedward?
P.S. - Maybe if you get too busy, you could ring up steve or Toby. I hear they're looking for work.
You capitalist bastard.

Ned earns a royalty for every post, meaning you just lined his pockets to the tune of 0.000025 cents, way to go simpy.

We should all be thankful that Ned provides this metaphorical roof over our collective heads. Without him, we'd be wandering in the digital desert talking nonsense (or nonsuch as the case may be) to all and sundry. So what if he makes a few bob for his efforts? We can demand he throw a party and serve champagne and if he refuses, well... never mind.

I actually did consider going a route that could produce ad revenue for myself, but just enough to pay for setting up my own domain, maintaining my own web space and procuring forum software myself.
But I'm just too lazy. As the address says it's a free forum, apparently ad driven- I've never seen any, possibly because I'm admin and/or I run Ad Blocker Plus on Firefox. Do other people get the ads I heard there would be? I pay nothing, I get nothing. There are pay versions that get rid of ads and might have more features, but if the free is good enough, I'll stick with it.

There is an ad at the bottom of the page for Guitar Center, but nothing intrusive (I rarely scroll down that far anyway), so I haven't any problems with ads.

Yes, there are ads. One at the top underneath the banner, one below and to the right of the quick reply box and one at the very bottom of each page. Pretty non-obtrusive though (so far).

Interesting that Introvertigo and I see different ads. Perhaps they reflect our browsing history? That's not right though. The ads I see are business related.

I get audio ads, now, too. I find a good way to avoid that problem is throw Drums and Wires on the cd player, really loud. Also works for drowning out the neighbors' seventy-five dogs that never shut the fuck up. And if the dogs are barking at the music, then they obviously have no taste.

Steve Hackett's "Air Conditioned Nightmare" works pretty good for that, too, Introvertigo!
