I watched the last 30 minutes of the live broadcast of the Olympics Opening Ceremonies this morning. For me, the most engaging bit was when the 50 event pictograms were acted out, one by one. It was fun to watch the few people who did it shift positions and move their bits of framing and scenery/set design, for lack of a better term. I think I do not need to get up at 4:00am to see people marching/walking/hopping like kangaroos into the stadium. That thrill is gone. I have always liked to see the passing off and lighting of the Olympic Torch. This time, there was a whole lot of passing within the stadium. Liked the Kabuki reference to Japanese culture. Will you tune in to watch any events? What do you see in these new pictograms? I see some pretty weird stuff, like the Olympic Snake Wrestling pictogram in the lower left hand corner. There's also one with a duck head with the bottom part of its bill shoved into its mouth. Naw, it's probably for Rhythmic Gymnastics or Scything Fields or something. I know...it's the new symbol for the Grim Reaper of the Pandemic.

If I think I could have a field day with these pictograms, I am SURE you all could, too. Maybe let's just say that and not do it. I can go back and edit my post. Check!

I think The Ladies Man has one on his wall. Of course now people are more imaginative in their practices, more athletic, and a lot more solo stuff. But don't ask me what most of them are up to.
