The ones I drank tonight were Punk IPA and a seasonal one infused with grapefruit flavor. In terms of the latter, the grapefruit flavor was more noticeable after belching as opposed to after drinking. I could have done without. I've tried both of these. Although I shouldn't have grapefruit on medical grounds. Although I guess it has no grapefruit in it rather artificial flavourings. Punk is ok. Just can't have too much of it.

Just can't have too much of it. I used to love Fresca, which was said to be a grapefruit soda. I was a strange kid. Now, I couldn't drink it if I wanted to, due to medication interactions with grapefruit. Plus, I am over that phase. Fresh grapefruit I do miss, but wouldn't add spoon after spoon of nasty sugar on it like I did a long time ago.

Updates:
Scheduled for the more simple back surgery option in late September. The same doctor was set to do a fusion 3 years ago but since then the problem has been much more nerve blockage than pain we're just doing a Lamendectomy (I think that's the name)- take out the part that's pinching the nerve and I should up and walking in a day, with lots of stiffness for a while.
One thing the surgeon said really interested me. He was telling me how surprised at how much it could relieve my problems and how much I've been dealing with- and how much having a nerve being constantly pinched will tire a person out. And it occurred to me, although I've only had really noticeable nerve pain for 2-3 years- my back problem- including some form of nerve blockage/radiating pain have been resurfaced for 5-6... which also roughly corresponds with my exhaustion problems. I've ruled out testosterone, upping B12 and D didn't do much, I was put on a large dose of anti-depression medicine in a weird strategy to combat it. I now struggle with a CPAP nightly, which certainly helps things in some ways. I use a therapy light in my office (because I work in an almost literal bunker- a library in a converted bomb shelter). But I still get soooo tired. I am reading my screen with one eye right now because I unconsciously close my lazy eye when I'm tired.
What if, the PINCHED NERVE is the core reason for my exhaustion and always has been? I guess I find out in a couple months.

My sincere best wishes to you Ned, for a manageable time until the procedure and success of it and after.

Ned, I hope the surgery will give you relief, and hopefully lots of energy.

Nonsuch Ned, I hope this is the answer and end to all the pain and things that were alleged solutions that were no help. I'm asking my Higher Power (up there in the Black Holes in Space) to watch over you through your plight. May Hope and Strength be with you! Dang it, you need a reprieve from this pain! Six years is a long time to not be able to get rest. (Stoopid CPap Bondage Wear! You are tethered to something that is plugged into the wall and has a six foot long tube connected to your head. It is awful to wake up and, for any reason, have to tear that thing off amidst the sudden trauma of air being forced into your mouth. It makes the worst sound as your cheeks balloon and flap against the mouthpiece. I hate it! But I do see the value of not dying in my sleep.)

As I said, I was tired- and the stupid "quote" box is right next to the "edit" box (which, as Admin, I get on everyone's posts. anyway... the actual response... Rap/punk repping Fresca?... 3:09 & 3:27 "You like Fresca? You're fired!"

I looked at it, played it, didn't know where I got that from, figured there was a snippet that came up in Goog when I searched for Fresca and that I am really loosing it. That is hilarious and a relief! ...

My grapefruit soda of choice was Squirt. In the early days there were chunks of (I assume) grapefruit floating in it.

How about some orange Nehi? Anyone? Orange soda was a big thing. I think Nehi was a brand I remember. I think they had grape and maybe others. Now I'm really going back, to when you returned glass bottles for a refund. The bottles in machine dispensers were often old, and frosted with that lovely patina of frosted glass after many uses. Biarly or something like that was another popular brand with the electric, bright colored sodas that beckoned your 10 year old self.

Yes the grape I saw before. I think I had the peach one once too.

Locally we had Hoffman soda and I recall loving their pineapple flavor, but like Snapple's delicious Cherry Lime Rickey soda, discontinued and I wish that were not so.
