I have Logic but default to Protools as I know it better. 0 replies 0 retweets 0 favorites XTC @xtcfans Feb 3 @jeff_truzzi I got into Logic looking over Stu's shoulder,so much easier to work. He's now on 10 and i'm stuck on 7 though.

(Paul Fox Facebook photo [no longer available] with band in studio, NS-10 near field speakers noticed by Your Humble Narrator.)
"In the studio with Mr Moulding, Mr Partridge, Pat Mastelotto, Mark Isham, and yours truly, enjoying a discussion prior to the recording of "Miniature Sun." Still one of my favorites.........just was hearing it in my head, and felt compelled to post the memory......" - Paul Fox

Was this album mixed on Yamaha NS-10 speakers Andy? When it is played on them, all the balances and imaging becomes perfect.
(Andy Partridge)
Oh Jeffrutti mac mootie mo. Indeed it was.
The 'Other' {apart from Ed Thacker} great engineer of all time that we worked with was Barry Hammond {NONSUCH}. I detest NS 10s ...BUT if they make you work harder...job done. Stu and I mix on JBL DUET speakers. Tiny... But as Zappa said," if it don't sound good quiet in mono, how's it ever gonna sound good loud in stereo?".

Spent a morning in Stu Rowes studio - mostly listening to AP outakes. Not knowlegable enough to tell you what gear he had - but it was great sittting in a space where you know andy sits and creates music...
