I read when I posted the previous "Ultimate Spinach", that the guy came up with the name after looking at himself in a mirror when he drew on his face and on a trip said "I'm the ultimate spinach." I thought that was funny. I hadn't heard of this group until I caught it on YT. I like some their tracks a lot though. This one included. Their first album was a big seller and started the Boston Sound. Strong musical similarity to Country Joe and the Fish in many of their songs. 2nd album is very good too. The third album was a reconfigured group with no connection to the original band. All jokes about their name are fair and valid

I love Rick Wright's songs. I wish there were more of them.

It seemed like a good idea at the time, perhaps we were naive.

Have we had any Rick Wakeman? Or have we not hit rock bottom yet?

Have we had any Rick Wakeman? Or have we not hit rock bottom yet? You mean the center of the Earth Keith Emerson has better odds of appearing.

miles this why you are our dad. A hundred years old, led a bohemian lifestyle, successful artist and immune from death. We sit at your feet and wonder if we will ever be worthy like you are. We can only follow learn and hope. Thanks Father. Amen.

Roy Wood takes a folk standard and psychedelizes it.

I forgot about this song and how much I like it. That horn section makes it feel like psych meets Herb Alpert. I dig it a lot.
