I got the album in the deluxe box a few years ago. Not sure I think the few extra tracks are required material but as a whole I think it's my favorite collaboration Andy did along with Planet England. I really like most of the tracks but I suppose especially cryonic trombone,st Augustine , dandy, and sacred objects. Devils lexicon and dope on perelman would come next tier for me I guess.
How do others like this album? Favorite tracks?

Sgt rocks YouTube channel has it and I am completely guessing here unless one of you know, but I'm wondering if the person behind the channel might know Andy as some of the stuff on there isn't really available otherwise one or two other like that. Then again I guess it could just be a very proficient boots trader. Some are also officially released with music videos. Just not interested to listen or haven't the time?
I need to give more of a listen to monstrance and power. I want super keen on wing beat from what I heard of it.

I bought Through the Hill ages ago. That put me off any further collaborations.

I thought AP's collaborations were okay, not great. Except for Mike Keneally. That was above-average.

What was his involvement with Pugwash and Lighterthief. Are either ongoing?

I don't know if Andy and Thomas Walsh have collaborated recently. The Pugwash release from a couple of years ago was TW working with Jason Falkner, a favorite of both Miles and myself.

I'd say Gonwards is my favorite Andy collaboration. I also really like Orpheus too, but I love the Orpheus myth (thanks to The Sandman comics). Planet England is very good, but "Got My" is the only essential track to me on it. I keep thinking that I have to try Powers before bed... I simply cannot take it as a passive experience. I have chronic exhaustion problems too... so it may be literally deadly to try it in the car (although it is on the USB mix I have plugged into my car stereo now- I have to skip the songs when I realize I'm nodding off) I missed Monstrance for some reason. I have the Harold Budd album, but that too leaves me drowsy.
My slight problem with Wing Beat Fantastic is that I suspect that Mike takes out Andy's more rhythmic devices and smooths things out to enhance the melodies. I have a feeling that I'd like some of Andy's demos more.

What about the demo one, I've not heard it myself.wing beats elastic I think it's called. Is Andy's work more intact as per what you mentioned and expect?

It seems to be more remixes and experimentation. 3 straight-up Mike/Andy shed demos and one is instrumental. www.keneally.com/music/discography-mike-keneally/wing-beat-elastic/
