Fix it by taking just a step to the left, and then a step to the right.

Favourite concerts: Roger Whittaker, Holly Cole, kd lang, David Byrne, Zachary Richard and a tribute Bee Gees band who looked, sounded and played exactly like Barry, Robin and Maurice.
Very favourite: July 1990, St. Charles Square in Prague. Czechoslovakia's first free elections since before WWII. The resistance playwright Vaclav Havel had become president just a few minutes earlier. He gives his speech on a stage in front of us, tens of thousands of Czechs, Slovaks, ex-pats and tourists cheering wildly at the winds of freedom that have been blowing across Eastern Europe over the last few months, knocking down repressive Communist regimes. His visit was unexpected; we were there for an international concert featuring artists from across the Continent. His speech finished, Havel turns to his right, stretches out his arm and introduces.. Paul Simon! After some more words on the end of history (as Fukuyama bravely assured us then), Paul launches into his greatest hits and ends his set with "The Sound of Silence". He is singing alone, strumming his guitar; no backing vocals or musicians. The throng keeps still for a minute; Paul's voice is echoing across the square, bouncing off the stones of every centuries-old building. Slowly, everyone begins to whisper the lyrics; then we all pull out our lighters, reach to the skies and create our own waving constellations against the stars above.
It was magic. The hope, the optimism, the freedom that washed over us and the entire country that evening... Simply incredible.

I'd have also liked to see the BeeGees one.

Cuba/Generals + Majors live was amazing. Was never a big fan of G+M but live was different again. Beatown in Eric's, Liverpool was another standout song. Went on for about 10 mins, mesmerising.

I saw Paul Weller last month. He was excellent. He played 3 songs by The Jam. So that was good.

Nice to see you stop by, Hugs. Thanks - as Oscar Wilde didn't say, it's nice to be noticed. Hope all good with you.
