According to this Nedco GPS device that our host has given us, we are in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.

Who the bleep would invent money that doesn't mean anything today and means even less tomorrow?
Devil Money! On the other hand, the only germs it has are in your computer.

I get to worship my dear dog.
Woof Woof, I don't like pets. Do you?

Yes, I even liked my kids' small white mice...I get so attached to pets, though. I love them. When they pass, I cry and cry and cry.
Do you like other people's pets?

Slightly more than I like other people.
What pet would you most like to have, wild animals included?

An Elephant, so I'm not the only one in the room.
Do plants/flowers have feelings?

Jeez, I hope not! I used to take great pleasure and pride in deadheading my roses. Some plants have sap that used to burn me when I cut them back, though. Yeow! Gloves don't always go up the arms high enough.
Do you pay attention to any ads/commercials?

Sometimes we're forced to. I listen to the Dan Le Batard podcast, and fans of the show constantly complain on the reddit page about the Geico ads played on the show, not because we have to listen to ads, but because the ads are about ten times louder than the rest of the show for some reason, leading to a lot of busted eardrums. Maybe Geico insures those.
For Americans, did you do anything to celebrate this past holiday weekend honoring our split from those dastardly Brits? (I spent every day working)

In my youth it was picnics, parades and fireworks. As an adult it was just another work day. Now in retirement I'm able to enjoy the celebrations once again. Although this past weekend was a washout for me due to heavy rain and excessive heat and humidity. The reason for the holiday has long since lost its significance (imo), other than being a school history lesson - and even that might be in jeopardy these days. Is there a subject or area of study that didn't interest you in your youth but has captured your imagination as an adult?

Really good question peggs! I like to watch biographies on TV of people I hadn't the remotest interest in as a child. Any interest in historically significant people started in my teens, when I picked up a Howard Hughes Biography and of course one about The Beatles. From there, I forgot all about who and became more interested in where and what. Lately, Ken Burns has worked wonders with what I once considered dry and uninteresting subjects. Stuff like The Roosevelts docu and PBS shows like Finding Your Roots are far more interesting than anything else. Perhaps this interest is due to a more broad perspective on life and time. Where is your dream home located?

In my hometown. Semi rural but not too far out of town. If money was no object, I'd have it built to my specifications ... not too big. I'm too old and lazy now to clean a big house.
