And Suzi's post reminded me that my middle name was my mom's maiden name. How could I forget that?
i have the same full name as my father, whose middle name was his mother's maiden name.
and then said:
Worst car you've ever owned?
we have driven a few beasts into the ground over the years. perhaps the worst was a '79 chevette that was originally a gift to ms. cicadashell from her parents, on the pccasion of her first teaching job. that car took us many places, but by the end it was virtually undrivable. floor rusted out on the driver's side, for example, so i fitted a plywood replacement. needless to say it was my car by that time, she drove something far more roadworthy.
if someone were to give you a new car of your choosing, what would you choose?
My mom had a family tree that she researched back to the 1300s, I think (probably easy given that nobody in my family throws anything away ever), going back through Ireland, Scotland, England, and finally the Netherlands. I haven't seen the tree in awhile, so I wonder if my aunt wound up with it after my mom died. And given I am known for being extremely irresponsible with documents (car titles, insurance forms, my birth certificate), that would be just as well.
Are you fluent in any languages other than English (although to be fair, I've been told I barely speak English)?
Gentlemen, you can't fight in here--this is the war room.
