Didn't Andy mention in an interview somewhere or maybe an old Twitter post that he was considering collecting his songs that he had written for other projects that were rejected into a collection for release? I see this post has a hashtag with the proposed ,title AP mentioned for such a release or in any case one that is something quite close to what he called it #failedsongwritingcareer
.
What do you think? Is this perhaps a hint from ApeHouse that that alluded to collection somewhat akin to a new fuzzy warbles series might finally be coming out soo? I'm not sure what else it would be with that #, but I'd be very happy to hear your thoughts. We already know they separately confirmed Apple Venus so it's something different.

Yes, he's mentioned it before, probably a few places. Maybe that Rolling Stone interview?
Andrew's words are vague, but his hashtags speak volumes.

Wish he'd release the live stuff he promised. More interested in that. And after years of AP dismissing the live stuff he came 'round to admitting it was pretty good. I know first hand. And it was more than pretty good. Brilliant in fact. Years ago I spoke to AP about him contacting Steve Warren about him using some of his live recordings. He wasn't keen. Oh well.

So anyone have any guesses or inside info on if this is going to be strictly things he's written for other groups or if we might get some more XTC outtakes like we had in the fuzzy warbles where are even if the band never recorded it he wrote it with the intent of it being for XTC I'd be especially keen on that but happy to hear any of his material output. Also for anyone who may be with more expertise on these things, any guesses on how long we have from the point of the teaser image until a release date is announced? Is it knowing if there's a bunch more XTC outtakes or things Andy wrote intended for XTC that never were put on fuzzy warbles or anything else that he could use any guesses to the content here.

That's certainly a shame. May I ask please which shows in particular you know exist and we're hoping to see put out officially? Are these all shows that don't exist in any form Bootlegger otherwise circulating? I know he stopped doing tours way before they stop doing albums. Can someone remind me regarding the end of touring, what was the last album they put out that coincided with their last tour dates that live shows existed with some of the tracks from said last album on.

1982, English Settlement was the last album they toured. The UK leg was cancelled. I turned up to the Manchester Apollo gig that was cancelled. No Internet back then. Various official live stuff out there, just Google it. I have a few Australian imported singles that usually had live stuff on the B-side. Steve Warren has loads of live stuff because he was their sound man. He put some of it out on previous XTC forums. Don't know about bootlegs. They are a bit like drugs to me. I wouldn't know were to start looking.

Edited the above to change the album to English Settlement. It was a long time ago.

To those who were lucky enough to witness it, XTCโs April 3rd, 1982, show at San Diegoโs California Theater was apparently an absolute stunner. The first date of the bandโs biggest U.S. headlining tour yet featured expertly rendered versions of songs from the English bandโs new English Settlement LP, as well as favorites from previous albums Black Sea and Drums and Wires โ and given the bandโs masterful performance, no one in the house could have imagined that it would go down in history as the last show that XTC would ever play in front of a live audience.

Maybe we can just ask Andy. I'm sure he is lurking around here somewhere.

Just the very mention of Andrew Swainson makes me happy, bluedemon25. Thank you for bringing this to my attention!
