This is the actual song that first comes to mind to this question.... but it shouldn't be the first song listed. Another Song About The Rain - Cracker

One of my favorite single lyrics that mentions rain has to do with an anecdote.
It can't be the first time that Ellis Paul has been presented with this mondegreen but the one time I saw him in concert he expertly made it seem like it was.
I can't remember how it got to the subject, I think he was finishing The World Ain't Slowing Down and someone threw out a question that has perplexed many a fan.
Crowd Q: "what is the line about rain in 'The World Ain't Slowing Down'?"
EP A: "You mean... 'Like being caught by a tropical rain'?"
Crowd: *murmur murmur murmur*
EP: "Why, what did you think it was?"
Someone: "Like being caught by a drop of cold rain!"
EP: "huh... that's actually better than mine."
anyways, even though it's technically wrong, I prefer "a drop of cold rain"
Out on the sidewalk, Pigeons do the moonwalk I'll be dancing like Fred Astaire The lamppost's are rockin' The whole town's talkin' Like a fool in a barber's chair And I get the sensation, The joy and frustration Like being caught by a tropical rain drop of cold rain Freedom can numb you, When there's no place to run to It feels just like Novocaine
