Howdy, this here’s tubwompus, the pain in the ass formerly known as Ivan Aindatabich from back in the APE days, if anyone should remember (and why shouldja?)
Just pokin’ my head in the door long enough to say long-time-no-talk-to, and I hope everybody’s world is beautiful.

My goodness, thank you so much, you guys.
I hope the water under your respective bridges has been clean, clear, and calm since we last spoke.
As for myownself, lotsa stuff going on including marriage, divorce, dropping everything to move back to the city to be live-in caregiver to both my parents until their passings; retirement, rekindling a mad love affair with guitar, bass, writing and recording...I could go on for days. Haha
I’d like to personally thank Mr. Andy Partridge for years of both intense inspiration, along with the equally intense migraines that come as a result of his being the standard to which all of my attempts at writing, both lyrically and musically, are measured.
So wotchoo all been up to?
ETA - the impetus to again darken your cyber-doorway was a conversation where XTC came up and I simultaneously remembered and remarked that the hardest I’ve ever laughed from reading has been from posts on the XTC forums. Lawd, there are some funny people hangin’ out here! If sense of humor truly indicates intelligence, then that theory is bolstered by the exemplary musical taste that’s demonstrated by you folks’ presence on this here hallowed porch.

That is great to hear, drumwompivan! Uncrappy is O.K. in my book. I still think of our Recam convos and the laughter you brought to the IDEA Forum. Thanks for that, Sammy! How 'bout the familia? All good there? One thing is certain, you never stop worrying about, laughing, crying and living life with your kids. They are always there, no matter what. <3

Youngest just graduated college on a wrestling scholarship and dove into the overrated peat bog that is adulthood. Middle one got married and bought a house. Oldest runs a boxing gym. Proud fodda. How are YOUR peeps?

Ah, me boys. Youngest just graduated college on a wrestling scholarship and dove into the overrated peat bog that is adulthood. Middle one got married and bought a house. Oldest runs a boxing gym. Proud fodda. How are YOUR peeps? That is way cool, Sammy! The guys were always pretty active in mixed martial arts, so their interests and prowess seem to have followed along similar lines. My son peep will be 38 years old in two days. He has a wonderful wife (who taught him, the kid who liked to stay on his computer in his room, how to scuba dive) and two Little Peeps of his own. Those little kids never cease to amaze me. They live about five minutes away from me, but I am not spying in the bushes or showing up unannounced. My daughter peep works in the same city, but is very disgruntled because she cannot just go see all her favorite bands at clubs in L.A. anymore because she works the swing shift. She gets off at midnight or the when the work is finished, which ever comes last. When I hear she is on her way to a concert, I say O.K. bye! And then I get out of her way. Good to hear your boys are doing well!

Wow, Mare! Your memory is amazing!!!! To remember my guys all being fighters from that long ago is just astounding! I have to look down a couple times a day to make sure I remembered to pull on some britches!

Lol, Sammy! Britches keep you out of jail-good thing you check for them. They are also good for flying by the seat of your pants. There is a driver in NASCAR at the Cup level that has a very similar sirname to yours, a rookie this year. I wondered if he was one of your boys there for awhile and I figured they had the talent to do pretty much whatever they wanted. I eventually figured, no spelling is wrong, you ding dong! Sure, some very memorable, very clever humor on that IDEA Forum. Simpleton01's haiku and those answering him in the Haiku Smackdown made me laugh myself silly. The In The Trenches Wartime humor that made me wonder where these humans learned to put words together in such a wonderful way..."It was quiet...too quiet" and just go for days with snappy retorts and keep a running gag going. The Lost Jockey, Keltik, Sticks, Ali, Usagi, et al...just a feast of funny, through and through.
