Eugene Oregon, where I live, is one of the very worst places in the US for allergy sufferers. April through early July really is brutal. Funny thing about these pollens, you don't build an immunity to them after years of exposure. Instead you become more sensitive and suffer increasingly every year.

Fexofenadine tablets (Telfast) 120mg, one a day, sort my hayfever out a treat. Suffered for years until I was prescribed these.

But that would require going to a doctor, something I haven't done in two decades. Our shitty health care system is shitty.

I think wearing a mask is helping me with outside allergies. My eyes are getting pretty itchy, though. I can't take Allergy meds or my blood pressure goes through the roof.

I have had friends move away after being here 30 years as it became unbearable. I had no problem for the first 10 years, except some typical runny nose stuff. Last year and to a lesser extent, this year, I get spells of vertigo and dizziness for an hour or two on some days. Far out man.

Who needs to do drugs when you've got pollen to silly you up?

No--the drugs go up your nose, not out, Terra.

Who needs to do drugs when you've got pollen to silly you up? There is an element of control with drugs. The histamine reaction or whatever it is that makes your head spin, chooses when to attack, usually in the afternoon. Pollen count is down, feeling better, now just avoid the virus.

Glad to hear you're feeling better! Steer clear of the dandelions.

I try to hang with the proletariat flowers. Orchids are nice and all, but that exotic upper crust manner puts me off.
