Thank you. Indeed when I feel better I'd like to do some garden planning although at this point likely more for next season. My garden is mostly shaded which while I'm glad does the assistance I dodging too much sun induced heat will also make choosing plants that are fine for partial to full shade rather than more sun, rather challenging and unfamiliar me. Oooh! A shady yard! That is a boon to a lot of plants! Camelias and Azaleas, which I assume would have to be protected over winter. Some roses need only a certain number of full sun per day to thrive. Most of my yard was full sun, all day long. (Ex preferred grass or concrete.) I am sure if you have the Sunset Garden Book or can check it out from an online library in your area, you will be able to find the perfect plants for your climate zone! What fun!

Ty, these are good tips. I shall investigate them further.

It's not all gardening in the garden.

I never went harder than cigarettes and alcohol (check out the Oasis song). Gave the smokes up 20 years ago. The booze I have to keep an eye on. Lockdown led to some bad habits that are hard to shake. But I'm getting there, slowly.

Well, other people were going to be gardening, so I went for variety. Want me to disappear that?
I am resisting going out and buying cookie/cake/pie/soft-serve right now. It all sounds pretty good. The best way for me not to eat/drink something I crave is to not bring it into the house in the first place. I have stocked up a small supply of coconut water and am rationing it to myself eight oz at a time. (Serving size on the carton.)

The best way for me not to eat/drink something I crave is to indeed bring it into the house. This helps me to resist safe in the knowledge that it is there if I really want it. Of course you do end up ditching out of date stuff but usually someone else has polished it off before that happens. Horses for courses, I suppose.

I wish everything lasted until donavan Day ...I wouldn't have to toss out so much stuff!

Wishing you a good game of darts and farts on Donovan Day. Remember it's not darts and farts without a good throw and a good blow. Tooting your own horn IS encouraged.

Found two six-packs of non-alcoholic beer and have had one every evening. Not only has it served as a cooling refreshment during this blazing hot week, but I can also enjoy the taste of booze without worrying about it having side effects when I take my meds.
