I want to be locked down forever. Why shouldn't you lot be as miserable/happy as I am ? I can't be as miserable as you, Don. I'm not an English soccer fan.

Did anyone notice ever seeing him perform how he seems to be or at least was surprisingly ripped for a comedian I mean there's no reason one cannot be a finely muscled the comedian but it felt a little bit like watching some of the earlier Who performances they caught 20 years ago for Rodger Daltrey made a point to show off his chest as if you were a younger man. Not that it's to my taste just an observation.

Miracle Grow is very helpful, I have found. I have only tried it on plants, though.

Seems like CoVID-19 (why is it still CoVID-19? Don't mutations get their own names?) is hitting the non-vaccinated in consistently increasing numbers in Los Angeles County. It's time for that exponential crap, again. Anybody ever see a short film called The Powers of Ten? It should be required viewing in Junior High/6th,7th,8th grade. I saw it in about 1980. I have thought about it ever since as the best way to demonstrate what increasing exponentially means.

I didn't realize Elmer Bernstein composed the music for Powers of Ten, though. Huh. He has the longest list of credits on IMDB I have ever seen. I knew he was involved with the score for Heavy Metal. It's a great score! He has worked on a whole lot of other great scores, since then. Elmer Bernstein

Everyone in the house has had their second dose in the last two weeks, two months ahead of our original schedule. I added Moderna to my AZ portfolio, while the kids got a double Pfizer. Masks are still mandatory indoors of all public spaces -- malls, restaurants, stores, etc. Very few covid cases in our neck of the woods, and Delta only accounts for 5% of them. We've got this beat!

XTC fan on FB, Camille H., just reported how she caught the Delta Variant. She waited until she was feeling a bit recovered to share. Fully vaxxed and extremely careful. She never stopped masking, kept distance in the scarce instances when she went out. Yet she caught it (and has no idea when it could have happened).
The good news is that, because she was vaccinated, she could self-care at home. Still not pleasant at all, including a loss of smell/taste, but if she hadn't... well, hospitals are overflowing with those that did not.

Thank you Nonsuch Ned ! Camille is one of the folks I miss most from FB. I am sorry to hear that she was so careful and still contracted the Delta Variant. (That variant is particularly virulent and there is already a Delta Plus variant in Southern California, even stronger.) There are "breakthrough" infections that are almost inexplicable like Camille's. I hope her family is alright, and am glad that she has rested and still continues to do so. Some of us are more succeptible to this virus than others and I am saddened that she had to suffer through it. I think I got the first go 'round back in January of 2020. Three weeks in bed. I didn't even know what I had.
