Took Mrs Aweigh to the clinic today for shot 2. She's so happy she's baking a cake.

Had my second Moderna (How do you pronounce that? I've been saying Mow Dare Nuh. Probably wrong, I always get the meds names wrong.) last Thursday. My daughter had pretty strong side effects when she had her second one of the same. (High fever, shivers, aching, etc.) I just had the aching and fatigue. She said I should take some time off, so I did. Stayed in bed Friday, mostly because the aches kept me awake all Thursday night, and was just fine Saturday morning. Makes me think again that I may have had CoVID-19 in January of 2020. That was awful. There was a monsterous pile of files in my "in box" (just a pile on a desk) Saturday morning, but I had low expectations of my productivity. That worked out, because I kept plugging away at it and finished by time to leave. People are going back to Disneyland and there are also many more autos on the road. My daughter is going to Dinneyland (sic) later this month. She asked if I wanted to go there for my Mother's Day/Birthday prezzie. I told her not until I lose weight and get more fit...it would be a giant waste of money, otherwise. I get out of breath. She said, "They have a lot of benches." There is no way of talking her out of it. She knows I love that place. The memories I have of going there with the kids when they were little and of my parents taking my siblings and I are indelibly etched in my brain, both for good and bad reasons. (Oh, shit. Just remembered Grad Night there. Mostly good but one really big EWWW moment.) So, it will be back to eating healthfully when this Dad Gum Tax Season ends. This year has stressed a whole lot of dark hair right out of my temples. At least my return is done. How are you guys doing? Nonsuch Ned I hope your back/nerve issues settle down. Love and hugs!

It's crazy how much a completely numb foot messes you up.
The pain in the back is almost all gone, but the foot is still dead. It may be slightly lessened, as in it now travels up a little above my ankle instead of half-way up my calf.
But when I walk, I have to keep constant attention on my foot and keep walking straight, because it's easy for me to trip if I step on something or lose some balance if I twist in one direction. Today, I came in late and am making it up by taking a half-hour lunch. SO I ordered from the chinese take-out across the street and walked there, as usual. --It absolutely exhausted me.
But I'm seeing what to do about it. And now that my resistance is about as good as it will get, making appointments with my primary care and specialists to see about my other issues.
Never had any symptoms that were likely caused by the shots.

bluedemon25 how are you doing? Resting well, I hope! Nonsuch Ned I have had shortness of breath for over three years...it improved when I did the Sleep Apnea test & starting using the bedtime heavy equipment that wakes you up when you stop breathing. It was our IDEA Forum friend yellsinger that first alerted me to the Sleep Apnea issue. My dentist seconded it, a few years later. Imbalance/feeling dizzy is a side effect of a chemical imbalance med I have been taking for years. I don't know if it is helping, but I walk across the top of the speed bump in my neighborhood on my way to the mailboxes, attempting to balance and rebalance as my weight shifts from foot to foot. I think it does awaken some dormant muscles and I figure that can't hurt.

Thank you very much for caring to ask. While yesterday stunk, with some nausea and moderately painful headache as the primary symptoms (and to a lesser extent tiredness), nothing too different from being a regular mini migraine sufferer. Oh and my arm was sore for a little. Mostly had to just lay in bed in quiet and dim conditions. Today I feel mostly better. Well enough to go for a small hike to alleviate the claustrophobia from being inside even more than my usual hermit self and stuck in bed all yesterday. Day of the shot all I felt was a sore arm so definitely a day delay in case that helps anyone to know. Talking to family seems they also had one bad day then all better so that's good.

Bought a Light therapy lamp for work. Seems odd for a person who lives in Florida, but I work in a library that was literally designed as a bunker (well, a bomb shelter). Hopefully it can help my royally screwed circadian rhythm.
Decided not to wear my mask in the Walmart yesterday, feels odd and a bit irresponsible. The other people without masks....? Not sure these are the people who have actually gotten a shot. I did put it back on when I got to the checkout.

We went out to eat for the first time since March of 2020. Both well past our 2nd shots. All the outdoor seating was full so we sat inside. It felt weird but enjoyable.
