I was perfectly fine after my jab. Not even a sore arm. Although with my various ailments I'm like a bit of a pincushion anyway 😜 I just wanted to know how everyone was doing with this?  Me and Mr. Sooz got our shot on the weekend; AstraZeneca.  Neither of us has grown a tail.  Feel fine but ended up with a sore arm for about 24 hours.  Nothing else.  In Canada, they are making us wait lengthy amounts of time before the second shot.  We don't go back until July 8th. Hi Suzi. Over here it's twelve weeks between jabs. I've got my second one in less than two weeks. 💉

Hi Suzi. Over here it's twelve weeks between jabs. I've got my second one in less than two weeks. 💉 Pretty much the same as here. AstraZeneca has only been approved for the over 55 year old crowd in Canada. I'm curious as to what vaccine everyone got? I had a neighbour go ballistic on me thinking it was 'dangerous' and wanted to know if I wasn't afraid of blood clots? Nope and nope. I'm more afraid of getting covid and being on a ventilator in the hospital.

I had the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine. I think you now have to be over thirty years of age over here. I have no problems with having the second one. Things have opened up a bit here and social distancing has gone out of the window. So I'm looking forward to getting my second jab. Bring it on.

I got the Pfizer, with 21 days between shots. They say you can wait up to 40 for the second, but not me. I am past 2 weeks so should be covered for a while. People continue masking here, as I am. 25% of our local pop is fully vaccinated with about half having at least one. Fact based community.

In Canada, we don't have a major vaccine manufacturer so we are at the mercy of other countries for the vaccine. The first batches we got from Belgium. I'm pretty sure the states sent us some and obviously, our Commonwealth friends sent us Oxford AstraZeneca (of which they won't use in the states) Like I said, I've received it, also my husband and many friends. We've had no issues but we've only had our first shot. We ALL have to wait 3 months for our second and some up to 4. We are also being 'told' this is perfectly fine. I don't like waiting this long but the point being is we're so behind on vaccinations here they're trying to get the first shot in to everyone. Unfortunately, we've been well over 4000 cases daily for the past several days in the Province of Ontario where I live. We also have the strictest Covid restrictions in ALL of North America. We are currently under our 3rd lockdown and stay at home order. Narc on your neighbours if they have anyone in their homes other than the occupants that live there and yes, it's the law and you can be fined big time. Mask everywhere. Fine with me. After this is all finished, one thing I would like to see continue are the cleaning and sanitizing protocols when you go into any businesses. Plus, we'll still need to be masking for a while after the mass populace has been fully vaccinated. Ok, I'm done. I need a nap.

It does seem unfair how the virus can spike in places that are following protocols, I can see how that discourages some. Sometimes it's due to population density, multi-generational households, being an essential worker etc. Hold on and stay safe.
One thing that has become clear, masking crushed the flu season in the US, very few cases compared to typical year. I think masking may continue well past the pandemic, as it has been practiced in some Asian countries.

Bullshit mate. With respect. So flu just went away because of masks? Masks make a bit but little difference. And I wear one on the odd occasion I go out. But flu didn't go away because of masks. More because of lockdown or social distancing or misreporting. Don't belive the hype.

I think masks make a BIT of a difference, but in conjunction with all the other measures... IMHO as always.

Yep, maybe, I suppose. But they are now telling us Covid cases over here have been overcalculated by up to 25%. I'm done with these ever moving goalposts. Politicians and scientists seem to be making it up as they go along.

In light of the fact that there are lots of untabulated cases (people who transmit without any symptoms) I think that over tabulating the number of cases would be tough, donavan , at least in a country with a very large population like the U.S. I think I am one of those folks...I had symptoms galore, but the only place experiencing high levels of cases when I had the symptoms was China. (January, 2020) I only figured out that I may have had it in retrospect. That didn't stop me from wearing a mask and using hand sanitizer until the skin on my hands was cracking and bleeding a bit. I like the fact that my washable mask with the disposable carbon filter also helps with toxic automobile fumes and dumpster stank, so I'll be keeping the mask wearing as a part of my life. Still, I need a break from it due to the CO2 being too much to handle and the loss of vision from steamed up glasses. My next vaccine is due April 29th, if the World doesn't burn down by then. Who knows what is going to happen. Not me for danged sure. Great to hear from you Suzi ! How about your Patrick-how is he doing through the Pandemic? Hope your family keeps well and as happy as possible! xxoo

Finally qualified for AstraZeneca. First shot on May 7. Dog, let me remain Covid-free until then. Just last week, I had to have my eldest son tested for Covid again when a work colleague at his fast-food joint came down with it -- they'd spent two 6-hour shifts together in a small kitchen. Luckily, the result was negative. I think that was my 7th trip to the testing clinic since August.

More of my friends have finally been able to get theirs, or very sson. I don't know anyone who says they will refuse it, or they're not talking.

Had my second during my lunch break. I may be getting a headache from it. Not sure. Any side-effects will likely pale in comparison to the pinched nerve problems I'm currently having right now. All of my left foot and much above is completely numb. I took a full Hydrocodone this morning (because I took half yesterday and had a lot of pain) but now I'm all messed up on that too.
