I am highly averse to gratuitous or really gorey violence. I tend to like animals more than people so I cannot tolerate watching or reading anything with bad things happening to them, especially domestic animals. I refuse to watch The Magicians without my partner prescreening each eepisodein advance for me lest I encounter "that" again, for reasons that upset me so much I don't want to name or hear it. As I'mtaking thr question seriously and answering seriously I'd respectfully request no teasing on this one. Some things torture my mind at night no matter how long ago and contribute to my frequent insomnia. One of the awful aspects of OCD.
I'd also answer that Hunger Games while interesting to watch was upsetting. For me not that they were children specifically, just being sentient beings adult or otherwise made it upsetting enough to me. Of course as many would likely agree Schindler's list and Saving Private Ryan. Movies I watched but will not rewatch. The former maybe even more personally horrifying after learning years after seeing it part of my family/ ancestors never made it out of the Holocaust. This is also an immense thing of disgust to me when ignorant (usually IMHO my generation and younger) make comparison so lightly to Nazis or the Holocaust. The ignorance and/or sheer lack of empathy astoundingly disgusting to me. I feel similar, with no apology for it, towards anyone who feels cats or dogs are things and treat them cruelly.
