I liked to put my pen in the hole and turn it round and round. If you did it properly it was very satisfying. Are we still talking about cassettes? Well to explain, I’m having an affair with a tape. It’s amazing the lengths it will go to to please me.

What I remember about cassettes from working at a record store is that on prerecorded double albums and those 120 min long recordable blank ones, we got a lot of returns. Many of the double album ones had split open cases and/or a bunch of curly tape hanging out.
Alternately, there were albums that had big batches of warped discs when they were initially released.

Does Goodbye Emmanuelle have a happy ending? Yes, she comes before she goes.

Pre-ordered the first 4 Oingo Boingo albums remastered on Rubellan Remasters. I'm a CS guy but they are available vinyl foe rhose that prefer. I didn't have them before in any form and I like whatbive checked out of OB so far so I figured a good time to get the rest.
I'm eagerly awaiting further updates on the new Men Without Hats album (and additional covers album).
Now if we could just get a new Human League album I'd be all set.

I do hope they keep searching and find the multis eventually for the still missing XTC albums. I want to have the full set deluxe and everything. I know it's not everyone's thing here, but it brings me happiness. Simple equation for me. More XTC songs = more enjoyment

"won" an eBay auction for a desert island record. I have a "top 4" favorite albums by my favorite artists that I decided I wanted to get. Already have a couple different Skylarking versions. TMBG's Flood was easy to get a 180g audiophile pressing for a good price. This one though... ended up at $63 after S+H and taxes, but there are no in-print versions available now, so the Discogs "median price" for this version (a Music On Vinyl repressing) was $100 ...so it was "cheap," right? Tom Waits - Rain Dogs
I was probably still impatient though. Some day, I may once again be allowed to drive to other cities and feel safe enough to go to Flea Markets and Antique Stores and Garage Sales and I can find albums like this in the wild.
Unfortunately the last desert island record is also out-of-print and the regular price is too damn much... but it's also got less of a popular following, so I may be able to get a "bargain" some time in my search for Kristin Hersh's Hips and Makers.
also, feel hesitant to say this... but I also put in a pre-order for an album I'm buying as an "investment." But I figure I can enjoy it in the few years I'll have it as I wait for the price to almost certainly explode after it goes out of it's limited print run. The UHQR (Ultra-High Quality Recording) of Miles Davis' Kind of Blue. Some have already been printed, but they're only making them in small batches. I'm waiting on the next batch.
$100 - for one record.
(The ones that have already been printed are already being resold on eBay for $150+, unopened for $200+)
