"I showed you I was dangerous and unhinged, why didn't you believe me?" Sounds like my ex-h...when I yelled "Why didn't you cover up the furniture and floor?" as he was painting the vaulted ceiling with a roller on an extension and little sprays of paint were landing everywhere. He return yelled, "Why didn't you stop me?" I am looking forward to not seeing or hearing from Trump all day, everyday...he brings back so much anger in me. Perhaps, I should just consider his stint in the White House as an exorcism of anger-part of the process of healing. Huh.

I was just watching MSNBC and they had video of a big truck full of pallets of unbuilt cardboard boxes unloading at the White House. My first thought was-somebody better put GPS trackers on everything in there, Trump may just think he gets to keep everything- "Oh...I thought I could keep the Presidential China, the busts and paintings...you don't mind." The next bit of video was of a line of people carrying a bust and other sundry items out a side door. I had to laugh.

I'm glad he didn't pardon all the rioters, or any of them. Just the usual corrupt ex-politicians and assorted crooks.
Impeachment 2.0 begins soon. It has been pointed out this is the last chance for pubs to excise him from the party, and wash off some of the stink. My prediction, they won't.

Lots of talk of democracy today. Regardless of sides, where does this pardon shit fit in with a modern democracy. We know there is no real democracy but pardoning criminals because you lost the big job. Fuck me. Am I missing something here?

When they wrote the terms of the lease, the founders didn't anticipate a tenant as corrupt as dolt 45. The pardon power is virtually unrestricted in the constitution, and changing things is near impossible. This is why we are still stuck with the electoral college too.

It makes a mockery of your legal system. Mind, your legal system is a bit shaky too so maybe it all fits.

The pardon was meant to show mercy to those whose punishment was overly harsh, or individuals who showed remorse and changed. It may have been a reaction to monarchical rule, cruel edicts and the like. There was a whole process to apply for one before rump, so it would go to worthy candidates. The stain, of course, perverted the power for corrupt purposes, including obstruction of justice.
Many of our problems are the remnants of slavery, and its influence on the constitution. For instance, the states with fewer people have equal representation with the largest, in the Senate. Even the House, which is supposedly representative, gives less votes to the coastal states with large populations, proportionally.

If he pardoned rioters, it would have been a sure sign of collusion. Somebody must have slapped the pen out of his hand on those impulses. There is hope and getting down to business being reported on CNN, MSNBC and in some European news broadcasts on PBS, FOXNews is already crabbing and stabbing at President Joe, his family member, and his policies. Some of the Republican Senators are very vocal. Some dang person in Congress even tried to take a gun into the House Chamber but the metal detector went off and somebody said Nunnunnunah NO! I would be sleeping better, but it has been really windy and that keeps me awake. I am looking forward to a rainy week.

It did nothing to defend his actions. His lawyers are a laughing stock. More images have been seen that tell the terrifying tale from inside. 16 of the 43 pubs that voted not to convict, said it was strictly a technical issue (they lied.) Mcturdle voted to acquit and then came out and said actually he's as guilty as fuck and should go to jail. 43 Cowards forever bearing the sign of the beast. Some of them are literally afraid their own voters would KILL them if they voted to convict. So more of a pyrrhic victory if any at all. All criminal cases can now proceed, with real jurors, not pathetic politicians. The financial empire is crumbling too, no one needs to bribe him anymore.

Nah. He wins again and always will. Move on. By carping on you keep him alive. Move on. Don't live in his shadow. Make new horizons. Don't waste time beating him up. It's over but his likes will return again. So make changes whilst you can. Go!

It's over but his likes will return again. So make changes whilst you can. Go! "I'm sure he's learned his lesson." That was after the first impeachment. He will not always win. In fact he just fucking LOST. He is not president, he has no official power, he can't start wars anymore etc.
I'm ready to never hear his name again. There still are lunatics that want to kill for him though. So hold on and expect the worst.

To tell the truth, I was a little confused about the impeachment. It wasn't unconstitutional, and I guess it could have barred him from office, but it would not have convicted him of an actual crime. A regular impeachment of a sitting president is actually a process to allow that sitting president to be tried in a court of law. That can be done now anyway and an actual conviction would allow a simple up or down vote that a president that is guilty of insurrection could not hold office... and if he was convicted... only the stupidest and toadiest would not. I actually wanted an immediate censure, it's toothless, but something. I wonder if they can still do it "as he's not a sitting president" A 9/11 style commission might help-- Things need to be uncovered. Hey, if he didn't provoke it... ...then the proof of who did should still be explain. Your Proud Boys and Traditionalist Workers and Vanguard Americas need to be clearly identified as the hate groups harboring terrorists that they are.
