It seems that cameras are everywhere these days. From phones to CCTVs everybody is smiling for the camera whether they know or not. Here's a place for our simple snap shots or formally composed photographs and everything in between. Looking out my window this morning...

Before I left Milwaukee this past September I took this picture... pictures, melded together. Horrible, tiny little place, but what a view.

Great photo Ned. How are you getting the large size? Uploading from a hosting site or from your computer or what?

Hosting site. Photobucket. They seemed to have upped their storage for free accounts. I have about a dozen random pictures there and they say I'm at 0% used.

Yep, hosting site is it. I just fixed the problem. I'd forgotten I had an account at Photobucket.
Thanks.

Ned, how long have you been away from Milwaukee? Yeh, the view you had was/is amazing.

Laid off in August and came down to Florida to help my parents while my dad had knee surgery. There were more library-type jobs here than there, so I stayed. My bad back and knees appreciate the climate change too.

I am a big believer in: seasons are for the young. Seriously, it's gonna be quite a shock driving up to see Simp with keltik in March, and dealing with snow again. I saw so much of it when I lived there, that if I never saw it again that would be just fine. But it should be worth it. Keltik and I are gonna follow the Fear & Loathing trail through Las Vegas.

The older I get the more I agree with both you guys. I adore Winter and have spent all but one of them in upper Midwest but no longer go outside and play in the cold and snow like I used to. I used to like shoveling snow too but haven't had to do that for a few years now and am thankful.

Going through some pictures I came across this one from a bike trip last Autumn. It was the quintessential October day; the kind that makes me glad I live where I do. I submitted this photograph to the Guardian Witness program for the topic of 'light'.

Your house is lovely, Mr. Tein. It looks so quintessentially English. Cicadashell, the photographs of your trek are outstanding. They remind me a bit of the Keweenaw Peninsula in the UP of Michigan. Congratulations on the hiking as far and long as you did.

Thanks Peg. It is in an heritage area and protected which is why the area is not adorned with UPVC porches and the like...
originally you were only allowed to hang washing on a Monday afternoon.
