Laid off in August and came down to Florida to help my parents while my dad had knee surgery. There were more library-type jobs here than there, so I stayed. My bad back and knees appreciate the climate change too.
I am a big believer in: seasons are for the young.
Seriously, it's gonna be quite a shock driving up to see Simp with keltik in March, and dealing with snow again. I saw so much of it when I lived there, that if I never saw it again that would be just fine. But it should be worth it.
Keltik and I are gonna follow the Fear & Loathing trail through Las Vegas.
The older I get the more I agree with both you guys. I adore Winter and have spent all but one of them in upper Midwest but no longer go outside and play in the cold and snow like I used to. I used to like shoveling snow too but haven't had to do that for a few years now and am thankful.
Going through some pictures I came across this one from a bike trip last Autumn. It was the quintessential October day; the kind that makes me glad I live where I do. I submitted this photograph to the Guardian Witness program for the topic of 'light'.
is that the sun shining on your terrace, martin? nice work.
it's so cold and miserable here i have been thinking all day about hiking along lake superior in warmer weather. you may join me if you wish (sorry, no hotlinking to flickr as it is not a hosting site).

bluedemon25: No ones going to comment on the new Colin song/music video out? I liked it. I know it's not about puns, body parts, or sports, but I thought it'd get excited mention from someone.
