Garbology - Aesop Rock X Blockhead
Apparently a project Aes did to battle a case of depression-related writer's block. Hard to believe... not that he could be depressed, unfortunately happens to us all, but he puts out at least a dozen lyrically dense tracks every year. Oh to have Aesop Rock's writer's block... You could only produce a novel every other month!
Current mood bluer than a gummi shark I should probably learn to move around the color bar I should probably wear some jewelry made of human bone It adds a visual component to my ‘you should go’ Thought-bubble generally jam-packed with dollar sign, exclamation point, ampersand, hash.
---------
I hate praising net worth over legwork I hate ceding all power to the extroverts I find the current social architecture hell on earth We make shepherds and shadow ’em to the netherworld.
-----------
Aesop Rock bragging: “Aes loves all animals and plant life Songbirds eat from his hand, you goddamn right." ----------
Aesop Rock talking shit: “I wish you nothing but the gentle kiss of yellow piss I give you nothing but the number for my exorcist.”
--------- Aesop Rock on things that he likes and doesn’t like: “I like glassy lake water and old maps Tall tales with black sails and skull flags Cold lemonade and OG Golden Axe I don’t like to talk about the UFO crash.”

Nonsuch Ned I the study of Garbology cited on a TV show, only yesterday. I remember the segment, but I forgot the show...there was a young teen who was dressing in a "gown" made completely of cast off aluminum foil and parts of an old floral tablecloth. She was going to be in a Garbology Pageant. She shared images of herself in gowns that were created from other items cast off or sold at Flea Markets or Garage sales, etc. (Show might have been FuseMusic Cable Channel 0r some other cable show I watch. To me, this is a 60 Minutes (only 30 min) worth watching. Anyhow, it caught my attention due to your post of the above reference material. Thanks!

Thanks to Bryce, his brother, and a suggestion from Tom, I'm listening to the subject of this video. Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of War of the Worlds. I picked up the vinyl on a thrifting trip a couple years ago, but it was one of many and I just never got around to it before. Impressive showcase for my Vintage Bose 301 series 2 speakers. The stereo bounces all over the room.

Bryce! Sextant Bryce? Yes! I am grinning ear to ear! And by Tom, you mean Tom Demi? Lovely people! I have met them both but not Bryce's brother. I met up with Bryce three different times, I think and with Tom only one. I think I remember that album cover from my record store days...not sure if there were enough copies for us to play it in the store, though. We could ask, but there had to be at least one other copy in the store, and it was at the manager's discretion. Oh, how funny! I will have to finish up listening later...thank you Nonsuch Ned!

Yes on all counts. Bryce and his brother do weekly Youtube videos making connections between albums they own, "just an excuse to talk about music." With both Bryce and Tom in Pennsylvania, they meet a little more often.

With both Bryce and Tom in Pennsylvania, they meet a little more often. That is wonderful! I am very, very happy to hear Tom and Brycers meet up more often! Excellent news! Bryce looks so happy in the image from the YouTube Vid! I hope he and his family are all doing well! I will never forget when FB started live streaming and Bryce and Daphne went live! Hope and Daph are the bomb! (Bombs?)

It brings much to my mind...a retrospect type of how did I get here.

It brings much to my mind...a retrospect type of how did I get here. Things happen. Including shit. But we are still standing and wondering. And asking. With no answers coming back. Just live it.

I dig it.
Did you have a good Boxing Day?

I did. It was OK. I like sport and lots of that on the TV. I fell to sleep watching a Harry Potter film. They are well over long. How was your day? And nobody knows why it's called Boxing day. Which I quite like. We don't need answers to everything. Do we? 😉
